Aren't they porting our original characters from 1.0 to 2.0 when it launches?

They're actually porting them for the start of beta phase 3. From phase 4 the data won't be wiped, so before launch.

Quite honestly, transfer all your old items/gil to your new phase 3 character. Even then, you probably will have absolutely nothing on that character worth keeping if anything at all. If it was from 1.0 pre February 2012, chances are all your old items are obsolete and probably not even in game anymore. You couldn't have accomplished anything worthwhile by level 20 anyways.

Above all that, it will be way more beneficial to invest in a new character and start the game from level 1, seeing how easy it is to get 20 anyways. (remember you will only get access to that level 20 character come Phase 3)

No, I mean that thing to the right, that looks similar to XII target pointing lines. Wondering what it is as they mentioned adding something similar, but I didn't expect to see it already.

Pretty much everything UI-wise should be finished by now, no? I don't recall anything being tested in Beta other than content?

I should clarify cuz idk how to talk about vidya only how to play vidya poorly:

All the nuts and bolts of the game should be done, no? We shouldn't see anything as major as a BRAND NEW CURSOR and/or MENU in the Beta?
