Hey guys. Did you hear that the OF is full of stupid? I mean, I just thought I should point it out in case no one has read that yet. Yep, I'm sure no one has.

Could anyone link me to the detail of the beta phases ? Somehow I fail at finding it. Its basically the list of what will be available in what phase. It's not included in the roadmap.
Thanks in advance!
Isn't this http://gdl.square-enix.com/ffxiv/dow...Roadmap_EN.pdf all there is available to the public about the beta phases?
Pretty sure i've seen something else
I also think that's all they released to public.
Because most of the arguments I've heard against the system are essentially "Go back to 1.0/XI" and the few legitimate gripes are going to get ironed out in the next few phases of beta. I think that once the combo system is more fleshed out it won't be nearly as spammy, as you're given incentives to use other skills through combos.
I'm not opposed to all skills having their own CD's though, I think that would be a minor change that would cut down on the spam significantly; but the majority of change I'm seeing called for makes me want to take a 2x4 to people's heads.
Lord I cannot even read the Beta forums. Worse than OF.
Ugh... I gotta go on there later to submit some feedback.
Like most any beta/alpha the latency (yes I'm talking latency not fps) is not bad once you get out of the "beginner" area's. At least it wasn't like my experience with RO2 where every if there are only like 50 people in the zone, you still get 15 second delay because the server is overloading with Korean, Malaysian, thai, Indonesian, Philippine, etc players crashing the server every 15min on launch of a beta

This probably sort of explains the "lag" in the area since beta just started considering all the alpha+legacy people were added in the betaAiming for 5000 players per server, 1000 players in one zone lagless
The main town was laggy as fuck, but once you hit, I'd say lvl 6, 7 and start moving out more, it smooths out. well, until everyone else hits that level >.>
I went and looked at the beta fourms, this was a mistake. I now want to punch something.
Wait, there's stupid people/posts in the beta forums??
I thought they were all well cultured intellectuals who strive to improve the quality of the game! Somebody lied to me!
Cant Stop Reading....
GCD = spammy and brainless battlesystem , AA + Building TP + long cooldown skill = tactical and intellegent system.
I would like to see those people clear dungeons with spamming one skill only...
For the amount of servers they have up, they really should have done this in waves. I find battle content impossible to test early on due to the massive flood of people and the horrendous server lag when that many are in the same area. I wish they would have went the WoW Annual pass way for Legacy players where they got in through phases then the non-legacy players were sprinkled in at a later date.
Did they really need a stress test within hours of the BETA? Usually stress tests don't happen until near the end of the beta phases.
The lag seems to be compounding too and it doesn't catch up. I died a few times due to my spells just not going off or doing anything although the animations were going off.
Since one of the main reasons they launched 2.0 to begin with was server stability, I don't see why it shouldn't be their number one priority. Plus, I'm of the opinion that the sooner they get that out of the way, the better. Don't really want to test a game where they leave server stability till the last and we're stuck playing at lagfest all the way through.
