I only did a few runs but a lot of them were done for the quick exp you could get, a few times a day, and then spamming some NM's, for really low drop rate/good weapons.

Was talking about the game last night, and was wondering if they ever told us their plan for deprecated items. I believe they said that they would keep old armor, it just would not be listable on the auction house. I'm more concerned about my friend coming back who has an inventory full of feathers, skins etc.. I would hope they would just auto-NPC all the trash but I'm not sure if that was ever mentioned.

Those items that are not in ARR will be converted into gil, and added to the player's gil upon logging in.

It's kind of a nightmare for me. XD You see, my LS had been in the process of collecting heaps and tons of crafting materials, donating them to the LS bank, where our crafters would nab the items and cook us up equipment for SBPT.

Now, all those items will have been converted into gil ._. and I have to figure out who gets what gil.

I am not confident that I still have the logs of what exactly was donated. It was unnecessary, it was all for crafting XD ...this will be a hoot...

and yes, everything you said is correct. Obsolete items will be automatically turned into gil, and dated items will become untradeable (thus, also unsellable to other players). That said, your friend may still have a great deal of trash, since they didn't deprecate everything.

I mostly agree, and am doubly upset that I got rid of some stuff I would have kept if they hadn't changed their mind on the subject. I'm all for getting rid of as many 1.0 vestiges as possible.

It will be the ARR-adjusted NPC value, correct.

Eh, you're probably right.

It's just kinda annoying. XD Our members went out and stockpiled 500+ of each kind of hide for leather, hundreds upon hundreds of logs, branches, fibers, and ores.

I distinctly recall sixteen stacks of Cobalt. o_O

Kinda hoping that not all of it vanishes. Took our folks a while to gather all that. >_>

Pretty much, yeah. If your LS fights over like 15k then you have bigger problems.

I highly doubt anyone cares. If they posted their donation on the forum and want the NPC'd value, congrats, they get a couple hundred gil.

I'd say just keep the money (if there's enough to be worthwhile) on the redheaded mule until the LS needs to pay something. If nothing ever comes...raffles are always worthwhile and completely drama free.

It's pretty cool your LS does that though! You have me wondering now about stuff like Cobalt Ore, I mean, I really doubt that'll be one of the materials that goes poof but shit...I had 11 stacks of cobalt ore, 7 stacks of colbat ingots, 6 stacks of electrum ores, and 11 stacks of electrum ingots when servers went down...hope they still exist!

I'm in the same boat. Tons of Blacksmith and Goldsmith mats on my retainers. So, I really hope they don't disappear because I was wanting to get back into leveling my crafts at the start of ARR.
