Actually the first wave of battle system fixes is supposed to come with the new dungeons so in a few weeks. Yoshida also said that everything he's mentioned in the last letter will be out by the end of summer.

You're right, I actually meant to say June but that's what happens when you post at 5:20am. Technically summer ends on September 21st which is why I think everything in that letter won't be here until late September. Projects usually get delayed when they set deadlines on such a huge workload.

True but in his last letter he kinda pointed out multiple times that all this stuff will be in-game by then. I doubt he'd insist so much if he still had no clue.

I am happy that I dont look into details of ffxiv anymore. vist this section probably once a month for a general view on the progress. I am sure many of the players share same thoughts as me where we will probably wait until PS3 release to play as it will be the sign of a complete game.
