Behind the scenes of FFXIV 2.0 would have yoshi P looking at the english beta forums going

The behind the scenes was a little indicative of the overall product, but I honestly thought it was worse than the game in overall quality. The content was poor and the edits were just as bad as some of the FFXI youtube videos from 2005.
Also, I wasn't all that impressed with the first developer's commentary either, so if that's a sign of the quality SE is going to provide then I believe they shouldn't even bother.
Did anyone happen to find an mp3 or whatever for the /tell sound? I still want that for my text tone :/
On that subject...

Nuts to the chocobo, I want the Professor Layton plushie.
Off topic but is anyone else having problems loading BG the past few days? I get connection reset errors quite a bit but a refresh or two will bring the page up.
Probably just my ISP being shit then.
Nah, I had problems too for quite some time now. Just waiting a bit everytime is enough, dunno what causes it.
I haven't had any problems and I come here pretty frequently every day.
I got it a couple times too - and it was down for quite a while
BG has weekly backup/maintenance during which time it might be slow or time out or display random pictures of cats. Either that or it is indeed your ISP being shit.
I kind of miss having "SFX Libraries" and "Music Libraries" like they did in old games. I wonder why they stopped doing that anyway...?
Really? I seems like such a pain to extract SFX from games and stuff... or at least, getting the "raw" sounds. BG Music is alright since there's always OSTs, but SFX always seemed so elusive.
Many developers specifically do not want people ripping assets from games (and after the Hot Coffee fiasco, I can't blame them).
I can think of no other reason why SE went to a more encrypted music format (instead of simple wave files) in XI, circa TAU.
vocal pieces could potentially be spoilerific. Also with all the fanservice if they added battle on the big bridge etc, spoilery.
