I had trouble for the first 10min. Once you figure out the sub-targeting thing it's really efficient and just fluid as hell overall.

I had way too much fun playing with a controller. It really feels like it's meant to be there, and not just tacked on.

I didn't get to play cuz of a wedding but I logged in for a few minutes to setup my Gladiator's would-be controller setup. I ran around and solo'd for like 15minutes and it seems pretty intuitive. It's a heck of a slot faster than applying controller controls to a 1 through = action bar anyway. Takes a bit of getting use to that's for sure.

That's good to hear, having options really can make a big difference. This also makes it seem like PS3 is going to a very viable alternative to having a PC if they get the game running good and smooth on there.

Early May would be better for phase 3, As that is when PS3 testing starts as well. I know it's starting to really get to the, "So close you can almost taste it point." However, there is no need to start rushing things now. Besides having phase 3 start up after finals will significantly help out my grades.

At this point the only reason they'd delay ending P2 is to give more time to prepare for P3 while giving testers chance to fool around... I mean I'm sure the gigantic gamepad feedback threads suffice to last for the next year. No hiccups like P1 either.

Now to hope they won't shrug off the gigantic amount of crap they're gonna face come P3 unless they pull off a miracle. Which they won't. There'll be a ton of shit to fix still.

I love playing with a controller. SE got it right!!! Modern controller use for and MMO. Only thing that sucks right now is no enemy only targeting and the triggers need to toggle the action bar so you don't have to hold it in.

So, I've been playing mostly CNJ so I've never really needed to know. How does subtargeting work with a mouse/keyboard? Here I was thinking I'd have to substitute a macro for Cure just to add <st> to it.

Targetting was the only issue I had with the controller, was pretty pleased. The only issue is that its difficult to eat while playing with it because both hands are occupied, but then can just switch to keyboard mode.

Could always consider not playing video games for like 10 minutes while you eat.

Eating during the beta is a pain in the ass because there's no cooldown between raid runs. You pop out and the party wants to go straight back in. Those 15 minute downtimes in V1 sure did have their uses.

I dunno about you, but I could eat just fine while playing using a keyboard... (from targetting to talking to moving around with people, doing quests etc)

Well that was his point, you can eat with keyboard but not so much with gamepad
