People are generally being helpful...It worries me. But then again, there was that whole CE vs. Legacy hilarity that happened earlier. Forums trolls will find anything to excite people. But then again, that is kind of their job.

In all seriousness though, SE is gonna lower GCD right? From what i've read if was one of the biggest BF complaint. Apparently the river of tears actually worked out not so bad for the QQers.

Yoshida recently said that he thinks the GCD is still too long so it'll likely be lowered to 2 seconds.

Hopefully by phase 4 we'll have a 1.5 GCD with some skills off the GCD.

I still dont understand the GCD bit. From what I have read (been told), the GCD is the ONLY thing limited skill usage. Spells with Recast timers that are supposed to be 3.5-5 seconds are said to ignore their recast times and recast on the GCD. Are these recast timers a remnant of changes made between P1 and P2 or are the people telling me these things just ignorant of how things are actually working?

Your question is kinda confusing. Either the recast is on GCD or it isn't, that hasn't changed afaik. If it has a recast that is above the GCD it's either a mistake or just not on GCD.

If you're talking about a certain spell it has a recast because it's not tied to the GCD.

Put it to you this way .... Cure has a cast of 2.50s, its Recast is 3.5s but you can sit there and spam the button as soon as the spell finishes its cast. According to many sources you can cast the spell every 2.5s. Hence there is no actual Recast timer for this spell. From what people have said this is the case with almost every spell or ability across the board. Thus my question stands, were the recast numbers remnants of what combat was like in P1 and were just altered out of existence before P2.

I think GCD was 3.5 so it might just be they haven't updated the tooltips yet (which falls under what I said earlier as it being a mistake).
