There's this kind of smoothness/softness to it, which is pleasing. Of course it's no PC but the FF demographic is on PS3 so it's quite a necessary evil...
Holy shit look at the PLD's sword. dat aliasing.
On that small of a resolution(1024x540 I think), the game just looks like a cluttered mess.
Monster they're fighting is Simurgh, btw.
Just like FFXI did on the PS2! What a surprise. Definitely not playing that on the PS3.

lol Oh man... that PS3 Limitations everywhere.
The pics were 1920x1080 resolution, that's why they look so blurry. The UI is crisper in the replaced ss:

It's not aliasing, it's serrated!
(kidding)
Looks like your current level is italicized if Level Sync is on, that's kinda nice.
In the first pic, R2-X button, what's the dotted line around the button indicating? I know LOTRO did that, I think that's how they indicated combo/synergy/boosted skills, but XIV is doing that with the glowing rim instead.
What is the source and context of these pics? Just general PS3 Gameplay or something?
Context is showing off PS3 "capability" and showing off new UI elements. Both of which no one would care about right now over Phase 3, or actual technical information.
Edit Nvm. brain fart.
That's an enmity meter.
Didnt realize the cost of Flash scales with level. Interesting.
Dotted line is probably new; I've certainly never seen it before. Can't begin to guess what it means.
I think the enmity bar comment was a reply to Takiwaki's edited post.
Shame on Taki for creating this confusion! I'm also kind of enjoying the simplistic approach towards debuff/buff icons this time around. Those XI debuff icons man... ugh.
Edit: although, that debuff on Sim looks like guy taking it up the ass.
