This may have been addressed previously.

If I buy the ARR:CE Physical copy, will I receive a code for early access to launch? Seeing as how they won't ship my game until launch day, the early access part will be useless to me.

Also, I have 1.0 standard. This is probably a stupid question, but just to be clear. I can apply the ARR CE code to my current account and keep my character correct?

You can upgrade your 1.0 account to a 2.0 CE account and get the in-game items for 19.99$.

Oh. When you pre-order the CE, you'll get 2 codes via e-mail. One for the game and one for the in-game goodies. You can use it on your original account if you wish.

If I read that multi-boxing thing right, I'm going to need some kind of third party app to dual/tri box since all 3 accounts I have currently are on seperate SE accounts. Unless of course, we can launch more than one instance of the game natively.

So question.

It states under the 2.0 CE digital upgrade service that if you bought CE in 1.0 you have access to the ingame items from ARR CE? Am I reading that correctly?

The Collector's Edition digital upgrade offers customers the ability to upgrade their standard FFXIV account to Collector's Edition status via the “FFXIV Service Center” website that is scheduled to be opened at the launch of official service, which then grants the in-game bonus items included with the Collector's Edition. You'll get the ARR CE items without doing anything, but you won't get the preorder items unless you preorder something.

Pre-order bonus only comes from pre-ordering anything XIV:ARR (early access, cait sith, mog cap)

CE item bonus is given to anyone with ANY version of CE (1.0, 2.0, ps3, digital upgrade from standard) - (helm of light, behe minion, behe barding, courel mount)

Legacy only gets early access.

No, Entry is basic subscription, think XI but with 8 characters on 8 different servers. Other options are reserved for paying Longer than the standard 30 days and paying for full character slots. You can forever pay Entry $12.99 and enjoy the game with no bars held like you did in XI: you won't be able to have a "Mule" character on any individual server. Nothing's been said about Mail transfer between servers though, and I wouldn't hold my breath for it either.

I think the novelty of the Physical CE would wear off on me pretty fast, so I'll just settle for the Upgrade. Any idea if pre-ordering the Upgrade counts as pre-ordering the regular copies? (Would I receive the Pre-Order bonus?)
