Got a question out of curiosity, not sure if answered already as the thread has been going at like 30 posts per day recently here.

You need to "preorder" to get the benefits, so what is it considered if you already have a copy of the game from 1.0 that already allows you to play 2.0, is that considered a "preorder" or not?

Owning 1.0 isnt considered pre-order you would have to get a copy of ARR.

Yes, if you purchased the 1.0 CE then you get all the in game bonus items that come with the ARR CE to include the couerl mount, WoL helm, behemoth chocobo armor, and the baby behemoth pet. If you only bought the regular edition of 1.0 you can upgrade to the CE for 19.99 and get those same bonuses.

So let's say that is indeed Scholar and we get a grand total of 4 new mage job/classes to start the game with. All I can think about is how much more weapons/gear would be added to dungeons and how much harder getting that super ass rare Green bordered boss gear would be. Yes...yes you can simply add SMN/SCH/ARC/??? to the existing DOM gear. But then SE has to start changing what stats do for a class and soon we will have 10 page books describing how 1 stat works. If you don't know what stats do already just launch the beta, click on the manual, and scroll to page 33...

I can't tell you how many runs through Haukke Manor I did on my GLD and not once did I ever see the pants/helm/sword/shield/ring for GLD. Adding more class/job weapons on top of the already lame drop rates makes my OCD go off the charts.

As far as I'm aware, there was no confirmation or indication of this.

No, the only overlapping benefit of Legacy and pre-ordering is the early access. Legacy members do not get the Cait Sith minion or Mog Cap, the only way to get those is to pre-oroder a new copy.

Still unknown as far as I know. I think they said dyes will be released in phase 3, though? I don't have the time to search for the post now, but I know they talked about that recently.

I don't know if anyone thought of this, but SE has a TON of old pre patch 1.19 spells and abilities they could put towards the scholar... for instance, Thaumaturge's old Sacrifice line of healing spells could work in theory. Dunno if arcanist is getting Banish/Scourge or not, but I could see scholar using such things.
