One thing I noticed about the WHM showcase of the Job video was that the casting animation for Holy made it seem like it's part of a combo or something... since there's a whole fancy twirl backwards before the final pose. I'd be pretty okay with this if it was a combo spell! But just theorizing of course.

I dunno why either, but I love how in one of the Warrior animations, he kinda howls like a barbarian, haha. Monk was pretty awesome as well, with that Feather Step.

If SCH was shown holding, say, a bow, we'd think it was a branch of ARC.

They talked about an autoattack animation that involved using the book, which made me imagine something similar to Zexion's animations in KH.

Theory:

If Scholar does exist as a job in ARR, it would come from Arcanist.
Carbuncle is supposed to have two modes, right? I have a feeling that storyline-wise the split between the two jobs is gonna be because of a focus on whatever magicks have to do with the two modes and control over these aether beings.

I suspect that while Summoner will lose Carby, Scholar might keep it but that'd be the only summon it gets... but it gives more power to the player itself and less to the pet.

Just a random thought.

ARC does not punch as an auto attack anymore, also from seeing ground targeting is an option, I can see the new classes taking advantage of that kind of feature.
