I don't really know anything about specs, but i was always under the impression specs were something you could only do one of, and the other options were closed to you, no? If they do that with jobs I wouldn't like that at all, especially if, for instance, they did release puppetmaster as a branch off monk, which I'd already leveled to 50. <.<
On the other hand, if they did it so say, your first job was tied to your class level, and you could unlock the second job, but would have to level it from level 1, that's totally fine by me.
You didn't level MNK to 50.
Seriously, why do people go "We won't get to level new jobs to 50" all the time, when the first jobs were released most people already got them at 50 too.
Hmm, wasn't expecting the BTN armor to be... reddish.
Just for the sake of giving players more to do with their time I would bet the 2nd job, if implemented, would come from a quest that would unlock it at level 1. Otherwise except for when new classes are released earlier zones and dungeons would be dead for the most part.
If your server feels dead at low levels then don't play in a Legacy server. Jobs are tied to classes and what you said will not happen.
If they want low level areas to be used then they should add incentives for high level players to go back and sync down. Look at GW2's daily events, for example.
Let's not force players to grind jobs which by design aren't meant to be grinded.
That Lala alchemist has pretty long hair for anyone that wanted such stuff.
Sure what your saying makes sense and I agree, but it would be counter productive on their end to add a bunch of 2nd jobs down the road to already existing classes that are already leveled. Even on a non legacy server it isnt going to take long for people to get the majority of their jobs up unless they really pull back on the ease of leveling that exists now. (Yes I know beta xp rate is inflated) but still will be pretty fast to get classes/jobs to the 30-50 range.
It's a weird situation imo, existing game design dictates what you are saying about them being tied to the class level, but to add longevity and content to an MMO it makes more sense for them to deviate from that.
Not agreeing with them taking the 2nd route and creating a time sink situation but it is possible.
Dat' alchemist lab coat.
SCIENCE!
Shit, I might have to level one now.
digging the miner's gear. I guess what is show is meant to be their "af"?
Yeah, at least the BTN set has been floating around in concept artwork as their assumed class-specific equipment. Good to see every DoH/DoL get a nice look instead of sharing generic robes and jerkins just dyed differently. At least I'm happy to see that Fisher wasn't completely dropped from the DoL roster. Interestingly, though, the site states that a FSH has to consider "season, time, place, tools, and bait." Season/Time? Is this going to be some Animal Crossing style shit where some fish are only found during certain times of the year and certain times of the day? Tools? Plural... does that mean that spearfishing is getting replaced by something other than a jig? I really hope they don't turn this back into XI Fishing, something so tedious and time-consuming to master that no one gives a shit about it.
