LOL. Those wacky FFXI kids.
I had a feeling that it was a mistake.
Good, that falls in line with how things were in the beta. I wondered why they'd pull a 180º on that front.
Would be too OP to be able to swap jobs mid fight, anyone with some common sense should know that >.>
You'd be like a one man army self healing, dps and self buffing/debuffing mashing an insane amount of macro's
Although it would be hilarious watching someone constantly swapping between 4-6 jobs while fighting 1 mob or boss, or HNM or whatever O_o
did you play 1.0
that miqote is ruining culinarian, pre order cancelled
but dat fisher, day 1 purchase
Love that idea behind Monk. The more you use weapon skills and change stances, the faster you get.
Barber shops to change hair styles whenever is a nice addition.
Also, not sure if it's the translation, but lol at Yoshida? not knowing what a weapon with the ability to hit more than once is.
I can confirm that that is indeed the translation.
Basically what that means is that people who keep on thinking FFXIV is FFXI-2 should just STFU. But Yoshi-P is just too nice and doesn't say that to their faces. =P
But no, really, what this all means is that Yoshi-P hasn't played FFXI (or at least far enough to get his hands on multi-hitting weapons ala Kraken), so people vying for FFXI-like mechanics in ARR should really just give up.
Nice, their early comments on FSH were terrible; basically it was a joke thing to do on the side. As I love Fishing and have the Rod of the Luminary after a billion fishing attempts, I was not pleased. It seems like it's coming back to the fold.
So since Scholar was official confirmed, does this mean Dancer and Necromancer rumors hold some merit? Dancer could be that second healer they talked about in the QA.
There's many other reasons that people who want/expect FFXI-2 should pack their shit and go home that have nothing to do with Yoshi-P's unfamiliarity with FFXI's multi-hit weapons... or the possibility of him misunderstanding the question.
If Arcanist is to have 2 jobs the rest will surely follow, if not at launch then 2.1 or 2.2. So I don't think the rumours are that crazy. This sounds like something they'd announce at E3 so if nothing is said then I'd rule it out happening anytime soon. SE must have something big to announce at E3, they aren't going to impress by talking about stuff we already knew.
I know they were talking about having multiple jobs for each class but if I was in Yoshi-Ps shoes I'd stray away from that. If you add a new job for existing class people who have the required class lvled will instantly turn max cap on the new job. They need to make money on subscription so if they cut out lvling like that they are missing opportunity to keep players occupied for atleast a week or w/e time it will take to level a class. Personally it would feel cheap for me if I log on after a patch and I'm all of the sudden lvl 50 Dark Knight because I have lvl 50 GLD.
