I really wish they'd tell us what types of cross-server interactions we can expect from the game. That'll surely influence the servers people will want to move to.

Although I can already guess:

Although friend lists and blacklists will be carried over from Version 1.0, players no longer in the same World will not be displayed. Also, please note that players who were on your friend list will appear as pending friend requests, which you must accept.

So we can't apply to change to a NA/EU regional Server till after phase 3? What would the benefits be to playing on a NA/EU server over JP, On Masamune kind of don't want to go through the trouble of changing server buts I feel like all my friends will want to.

Yeah this is just stupid, sounds like they're going backwards with the plan. I mean there's an 8 hour time difference between the UK and west coast of the US, even higher difference for those in eastern Europe.

I do like playing with Americans but my fear is the EU population is going to be spread thin as a result and it will be 1.0 all over again. I imagine NAs will be happy with that as they'll have people to play with if they don't work/play during the day.

I guess Ragnarok is the safe option.

As you can see, servers are divided up into two groups: JP (recommended for Japan) and NA/EU (recommended for North America and Europe). Remember, just because a World is recommended for a certain region does NOT mean the World can only be joined by players from that region. The recommendations are based solely on the physical location of the World servers.

I personally pushed for a Fernehalwes server, but it was shot down because, unlike the cool kids Odin, Shiva, Bahamut, and the rest, I've not appeared in any FINAL FANTASY titles. We'll have to do something about that...

Well that just makes my above post irrelevant. I wonder why they couldn't be that clear on the Lodestone. Different people doing it I guess, but you'd think they would have the same info.

Seeing as ping is not much of an issue for me as it stands anyway since it's far better than what it used to be at 1.0, I'll probably just stay in Durandal.

I was Xopher and Tsugaru on XI and yeah I played on Ragnarok, Cait Sith/Hades, Alexander, and Garuda. (switched around to play with IRL friends a lot)
