potions were instant. We have seen only one healing/buffing class. DD and tank classes are getting different mechanics to make them sorta unique. Still some possibility of a healing class that does not rely on cure spells.

Some of the answers are pretty bad though... The sound and the big pop ups are the two things I would love being able to tone down.
Q: Please allow us to mute the sound effect on quest offer and quest completion.
A: Unfortunately if we increase the number of sliders on sound option, then the config menu will continue to grow overly complicated, so there is no plan to implement this.
Well, I believe there is a mute option for sound effects if it's really getting on your nerves... though it does mute everythig else though.
You guys should be having this cure debate on the beta forums to try make SE rethink because no one else seems to be.
I can try a third time I suppose. When the feedback forums are open.
Sounds like the game is shaping up to be pretty good. I guess the only real questions are will I be able to afford it and if I should play on a NA server for easy communication and similar times or play on a JP server for practicing japanese.
Dear god thats a lot of hotbars. In Beta phase 3, the number of hotbars will be increased to 10 and numbers 7-10 will be displayed vertically.
I'll probably stick to three, I enjoy being able to see what I'm fighting. The vertical ones will be a nice option
How will that work? If I scroll past the 6th is my UI suddenly going to jump into vertical mode?
Will the PS3 version be able to customize UI to the same degree as the PC version, if at all? Haven't seen any info or anything telling if the PS3 will even be able to change UI at all..

Leaving on a Jet Plane
June 09, 2013
Hello everyone!
Fernehalwes here chilling in the departure lounge at Narita International Airport, munching on peanuts and pretzels, waiting for the 10 hour flight to Los Angeles and E3.
I still have a few minutes before boarding, so I thought I might post a few screenshots from the phase 3 beta version going live next week.
Those of you who participated in Beta phases 1 and 2 have already seen the opening cutscene forGridania, but here’s a little taste of the openings of for Limsa Lominsa and Ul’dah (and a couple of shots of the touched-up Gridania opening, just for good measure)

Wait… Was that moogle downing a bottle of vino? What is the ESRB going to say about that!?
Talk to you all again from LA!
Fernehalwes
Drunk Moogle ftw
The flip side of that is what we are seeing now:
- cure animation is already executing
- "omae wa mou shindeiru"
- go to died
Furthermore, mobs died in XI the moment you started the killing blow (the death animation just displayed after) and no one seemed to have a problem with it. Why is SE reinventing the wheel on this?
LOL @ Drinking moogle.
More and more reasons to switch to LL...
I knew you could have them on the left like that. But it just seems odd to go from 3 on top of each other to 2 on top and one on the left when you scroll to the 7th. There should be a way to keep them all horizontal if you want to. But I figure I will never need more than 6 hotbars anyway so it's pointless thinking about it.
