Server transfers are being done (again); regional data centers are now a thing.
Durandal (which is the server you said Sephiroth was on, idfk, I never saw him) is a JP server. Why would he stay there?
My question assumed he was being not retarded and switching to a NA/EU server. Maybe you're saying I give him too much credit?
Xopher's cry of not Hyperion fits with the idea that he's smart enough to transfer to a NA/EU server too.

Obviously, yes, the transfers occur later, not at p3 but I don't think that was implied in my question.

Apparently, the cool thing to do these days is to go to the one forum (rather: the sole remaining forum) with the highest concentration of endgame FFXI players and then talk about how dumb it is to use Final Fantasy XI as a point of comparison to the new Final Fantasy MMO being released.

This is like going to shoryuken.com and then being dismayed that most people there compare new Street Fighter games to previous Street Fighter games instead of Tekken or Melty Blood. Expand your horizons, bro!

This forum also has the highest concentration of endgame FFXIV players, it stopped being just FFXI a long time ago. Also 1.0 had more in common with XI and that didn't go well.
