I was like 16...so yeah, I did. I thought community and friends were worth more than game play, and that's the only reason I lasted so long and why it was hard to quit even when I knew I hated playing the game.

Let me help you out:

If a game is one of the best examples of its genre currently available in the market, you have to be an incredibly obtuse jackass to call that game "shit."

NES Tecmo Bowl (the first one) is a "shit" game by today's standards; it's incredibly linear and a totally warped representation of football (the game consisted of four 90-second quarters). And in 1989 it was so incredibly superior to any football game ever released that the idea of it even being compared to anything else was ridiculous.

Here's another question for the time-travelers in the audience: was EverQuest "shit"? How about vanilla Starcraft? Maybe that will help firmly establish your perspective on what is good.

...and I'm sure you just happen to consider a bunch of currently existing games as "good," right? You sure you don't also want to apply the Doctor Who rating system to, say, WoW?

Could potentially be a Big Deal(tm) if the game takes off. No other mainstream MMO can played on the road. Granted, buying a Vita just for that probably isn't the budget of many, but the general idea is still intriguing. I'd just be worried about latency.

I play video games for entertainment. If a game entertains me, I don't consider it shit. If you played XI all that time and you were never entertained then you are fucking stupid.
