You were paying money to talk to people on an AOL chatroom?

Socializing means just chatting?

Naw, spent a lot of time helping linkshell and friends out with quests, genkais and what not. Only hit 70 after 2 1/2 years.

I didnt enjoy most of FFXI beside probably salvage, what i enjoyed was the community and the friends i made while playing.

That game was pile of shit. (This is an opinion just fyi)

[Eagleheart]

'bout an hour 'til SE's panel, right?

I do not think the board as a whole can take much more suspense. The circular firing squads have pretty much annihilated everything. ._.

Need news. Need beta. Need anything but further suspense.

liveblog of trailer you'll see in like 30min

Spoiler: show

A tease for what I assume is Odin at the end. PS4 version 2014, PC and PS3 this year.

Trailer ends, of course, with the Crystal, and a twisted version of the FF prelude - the tale of the crystal's demise!

Rather cute looking Cactuars.

By fire reborn -- airships! Called the Enterprise! And, of course... The pilot is Cid!

Only Garlean rule can bring order to Eorza, says the Gabranth-looking judge!

For an MMO, the footage really does look stunning. Familiar FF beasts all over!

Trailer is a dramatic movie style one with a deep-voiced voice over. Introduces Eorza as a realm torn apart,

The trailer begins with footage of the whole FF music and a mix of the FF14 and 8-bit FF1 prelude.

A new trailer - The Crystals Call. In game footage, he asks us to remember - even though it is an MMO.

too lazy to untwitter it https://twitter.com/rpgsite

The PS4 version will be cross platform. Data transfers from PS3 to PS4. Working with Sony for a smooth transition.

[bluefan]

Good confirmation on the transfer of data from PS3 to PS4.

[Raldo]

What does that even mean? All your MMO data isn't stored locally anyway, except maybe your macros and layout (which FFXI eventually allowed you to store on their servers too, so...).

Being able to use your character on both might be useful info to anyone who doesn't know much about FFXIV, but for anyone who follows these boards, it should be a big "No shit, I can already do that between the PS3 and PC".

[bluefan]

I'm taking it as those who use the PS3 client can digitally download it for the PS4 without having to purchase the game again.
