Isn't a video just a slideshow with a very fast frame rate to make it look moving? I wouldn't really call it a loophole, more that it's technically a video even if you wouldn't call it one. Certainly not something worth risking your account over.

Yeah all I got so far was that one email that was linked. And someone linked the client download in this thread and I downloaded it. It asked if I had an existing account and I do then it asked for a beta code which I dont have. Has any non legacy 1.0 players got a beta code yet?

*clarifying* They are not 1.0 players, they never touched FFXIV after they heard how it flopped. Since the alpha they've started applying. So far there has been no e-mails for them.

At least now I'll stop being such a tight lipped bitch around them, they were getting pissed at me.

For that matter 00000.dat movie file appears to be the "legacy players" intro movie

If you have an SE account and played 1.0 at all, you will not get a beta code. You log in, check the little box and you're in.

Im trying to get the game patched up and last night I downloaded the launcher but it didnt patch / download and it still asks me for a beta registration code.

I've already been in the previous tests but, everyone gets the "Enter Code" thing, but as soon as you click next, it takes you to a login, after which I believe it does an account verification to see if you are currently in testing or qualify.

Are you people who are claiming its asking for Enter Code, getting an actual Field to enter the code? Screenshot, cuz I don't see it.

Yes it had places to enter a code and if I click next it says to enter a code. Its not hard to believe. why would I lie?

I only have 1 SE account. I played 1.0 I played 1.0 beta (for preordering) This is the only account I have now sure maybe they havent flagged me for Beta yet. thats why Im asking does anyone else have access who is a 1.0 non legacy player.

It's like how every IT specialist asks me if my computer is plugged in when I have a problem. I get annoyed and upset by it but then my cubicle neighbor is always forgetting her monitors are turned off and calls them because her computer is broke.

I'm Legacy myself and I had no problems. Waraji was in previous tests so he's in as well.
My two friends are brand new to FFXIV. To my understanding they couldn't log in without the code but we're stuck at work so I can't exactly jump on their computers and verify they're not stupid.

Afther i finish whit the download i get the Msg "Undefined" at the top of the Play buttom, is this normal bc the servers arent up or did my installation messed up?

Id like to know so if its messed up i start it again before servers go up.

Its been mentioned from other people in the thread getting the same error. So either you all messed up or you guys are just early

Well no, see the reason this is happening and why I'm CURIOUS, is because you downloaded the client regardless of SE informing you to download it. There's a reason for that (your account isn't flagged yet). You guys come in here, flying off your handles because it's asking for a code like double-u tee, ef.

I asked for the screenshot only because for us current testers, it just skips past that after we click next, so I was curious to see if there was actually a window for it, and you were simply reading the code request that it asks you for on the front page.

Also, the Undefined Error: Reload the damn client after download and it fixes it. Gd. Took me all of 2 seconds to figure that out last night.
