Ah well, full description of Cleric Stance is something like this then:
Increases offensive magic damage dealt by 10%.
Decreases healing magic potency by 20%.
Swaps INT and MND values.
It's really just meant to be used if a CNJ wants to nuke. I doubt THM will ever find it very useful, unless the damage +10% outweighs the loss of INT from swapping INT and MND around, but either way, healing with it on with always suck. ACN might be able to use it effectively.
Opps hit the wrong button and did an edit on your post O_o
I was going to use it for the possibility of curing, but forgot about that 20%, also lalafell's are crazy, I ahd one follow me around spamming emotes O_o

I really think the whole swapping MND and INT part of it is retarded and should be taken out. I just... why?
Something about it is going to get changed (again), I can just feel it.
Then they could just keep it how it was before... letting MND enhance white magic nukes and not having INT/MND swapping. As it is now, Cleric stance is just pants on head.
This way is actually worse than it was before because Cleric stance is more of a nerf to your healing while under the effect than it was before since a CNJ's INT is probably going to be pretty low compared to their MND.
while leveling my archer, a lot of NPCs kept saying that archer wasnt as stronger as other clases. At high level, is arc that weak? Is it usefull or it gets discriminated ?
The whole point of Cleric Stance is to boost CNJ's nuking. If you want to toss a cure all you have to do is remove the stance altogether. Before you could still heal decently with it on, a bigger nerf is actually a good thing. I also like the fact that INT is needed for all nukes, at least CNJ has to pick one now (and if their second job is a nuker that will lead to even more differences between players) instead of going all MND.
I loved the Beta but I couldn't figure out one thing, possibly due to tardation.
I got the materia quest, and I made materia, but how the hell do I put it on gear? Lol.
I leveled CNJ to 6 to give Cleric Stance to my THM; waste of time. The INT / MND swap completely offset the 10% damage increase at LV 12, and I imagine it would only get worse at higher levels as the INT/MND disparity on THM grew.
I played CNJ in the other beta phases almost exclusively (my primary job in 1.0 was WHM); when you're solo there is no reason not to keep Cleric Stance up 100% of the time. I pretty much only took it off during dungeons (still used it in dungeons at various points).
Ahhh okay may just ignore that for now then. Want to see ifrit and 25 dungeons first.
Wait since when were CNJ nukes MND based in 1.0?
Aside from Holy.
For the most part in 1.0 WHMs could heal with Cleric stance on while getting better nukes out of it. So there wasn't much reason not to have cleric stance on even if you were healing. With a bigger nerf, you have to consider the stance you're in for the role you're performing.
Some may argue for the 1.0 method being superior, some may argue the adjustment is better. I don't play WHM so I don't really care.
I think the idea behind it is that all elemental nukes are INT based, so a CNJ can simply wear MND gear for curing then convert their MND into INT without having the gear swap to be an effective nuker like in 1.0. It's a very good ability but limited right now by the availability of levels. I'm confident that it will be pretty damn good in end game and be beneficial for MND-based classes with nukes or that will cross-class nukes for solo/utility. Gotta look of the big picture here ladies.
MRD is currently the only class that starts in LL.
ACN will be @LL in retail (and there will be thousands of ACNs) so your problem should be more than resolved. When there's like 6 people doing a FATE that has a big boss monster and lose because they're 6 MRD and no one can heal the person with hate so people just die 1 by 1 it's just lame.
First thing I did on gamepad setup was set Map to cross hotbar. Although as someone else mentioned, the fact that you can't scroll the map while running is a problem; camera controls should move the map, not the camera. The other issue is that in order to close the map after you take a single step, you have to push the map button again (cancel button on controller won't work).
Does anyone know if kb hotkeys work again if you disable "Enable direct chat" for controller mode? I'd rather have access to all my kb hotkeys and cross hotbar.
Last thing: the way this game handles text input is confusing. There are plenty of times when there's text sitting in my input, I'm mashing on escape, and it just stays there. Mashing ESC should clear/cancel everything you're doing, just as a fundamental UI point.
