I think I am going to cancel my pre-order the day before launch, after I've used my code. Really shouldn't be a ban-able offense if they decide to crack down on it. Maybe remove my preorder bonuses.
Since they were issuing bans in FFXI for disputing double charges, I would not be inclined to press my luck with canceling preorders after the codes have been used.
To be fair, chargebacks are generally a sign of RMT, so that's probably not the best indicator.
SE has banned for far less than that. Hope those pre-order items are worth it.
I spent the whole day running errands on Sunday, but the whole time I was like "man need to get home to play"
I get home and my wife was like "you didn't tell me they were only doing it over the weekend"
I've been sitting around since Sunday evening wanting to play pretty badly. My wife too. Good job SE![]()

Put your email in there and you will be notified when its time to register the codes.
Haven't seen this posted but as always Nova Crysallis gives us a good interview:
http://www.novacrystallis.com/2013/0...per-interview/
This response was dumb as shit but okay lol. I really hope they step up their cross-server interactions a few months down the road.Nova Crystallis: If you have a positive experience with someone in the Duty Finder, will you be able to flag them so that you can play with them again?
Yoshida: At launch, we don’t have any plans for that feature, and the biggest reason behind that is, because dungeons are around 30 minutes, we don’t think players will get that close to one another within that time. You’ll come in, say hello, get through the dungeon, get your gear, say thanks and goodbye and it will be done. That is pretty much our reasoning behind the matchmaking system; no need to worry about finding people, you can go in, get the dungeon done, and leave. If you want to make friends, we would suggest the FATE system in order to meet new people that are on your server.
Or you could you know, add them to your friendlist if they made that big of an impression on you.
Friend lists don't work cross-server. Neither do parties, so even if they did, it'd be useless.
Translation aside, Yoshida's response does not necessarily only target what the interviewer is asking. He's explaining why the matchmaking system works the way it does, along with its limitations. He's saying the reason there is no way to play again with people you like cross server is because he doesn't think it's possible to make friends while doing 40min dungeons.
I hope I do not need to expand about why this assumption is both inaccurate and shortsighted (especially when you take into account the "solution" he offers) but I will if I must.
Friend Lists didn't even work if you were bound by duty lol
Do we know it won't? Serious question don't remember seeing it mentioned.
I don't care for cross-server interaction. The duty finder mechanic is that of every other MMO auto-party, and it works for the content that it's intended.
You people are the worst.
If you are unable to actually make friends while being in a group-based event (please tell me more about how FATE is actually a group event where you interact with people) then why are we even playing these games?
I made plenty of friends in Warcraft during dungeon runs before the Dungeon Finder days, and I continued to make friends while in dungeons after Battletags were added. Same goes for GW2 and I'd wager it'd be the same in any game that doesn't have a Content Finder that's three years behind the times.
You play these games with people and you meet new people. If you don't see any value in this that's fine, but removing the ability to actually meet new people feels extremely backwards.
EDIT: Made a mess of a post, sort of fixed
