But without that MND<->INT swap, nukes in nuking stance would be far worse. You can argue that poor cures in nuking stance is bad, but poor nukes in nuking stance is immeasurably worse.

If you want to say that realigning CNJ nukes back to INT is a nerf, fine. But Cleric Stance's change is not a nerf.

Isn't ARR's entire existence about "modernising the game"? I don't think they'd have to go that far either, it should be quite easy to change the existing friend list structure to allow it. Cross data center would be more challenging but they could get away with not doing that.

No. ARR's existence is about making money. Don't confuse the two. Its a balancing project between modernizing enough to attract the modern MMO gamer who expects better, while not scaring off the JP master race who buys everything in bulk and plays for eons.

There's a a lot that hasn't been updated yet, though; eventually cross-server Colosseum and PVP would be nice, and yeah, you'd want cross-server F-lists for that.

its funny I only got my charecter to lv10 before I quit version 1 and never got to be legacy, although every single day from back then until now I was visiting FFXIV related sites on daily basis. I guess I just love to read a come back story while it happens XD

That is (unfortunately) correct. At some point in the near-ish future they'll open up the applications for world transfer, but the transfer won't actually happen until phase 4. Also, to start, no *new* characters can be made on a legacy server so at the moment there's not a way to meet up with 1.0 folks if you don't already happen to be on the same server.

I believe what they've said is "at service start". That rules out beta phase 4, although I guess you could argue between the official release or early access being when it happens.

That's disappointing. I plan to play with guys in ARR who are currently on a different v1 server. Now I want phase 4 to hurry up and start.
