There definitely needs to be clarification as to whether this apply solely to duty finder or to all instanced dungeons.

Duty finder would be bad. All instanced dungeons (as some are claiming in this thread) would be crippling.

Even with voice-chat there's still issue of random people wanting to send you a tell for whatever reason etc. when you are in an instance.

Also, what other things does this affect that nobody thinks about...

Since I'm on some nebulous server, will I no longer receive messages about shit that got sold by my retainer (I'm under the impression that this feature is in development) if I happen to be in a dungeon at the time? Etc.

At the VERY least, they should queue that shit, so you can see your missed tells somehow while you were in the dungeon. I assume a queue of messages (like moogle mail) is how they would handle the above situation.

Our duty finder offers less functionality than a content finder that was released in 2009. Not even going to comment on what our tool looks like next to 2013 ones.

If this is by choice, our devs are retarded. If they lack the tech, our devs are inept.

But that's okay because some people spend 24/7 on ventrillo. Not that serious. Let's take it a step further and remove all chat functionality from the game, I mean Grey barely uses it

More people don't use voice chat than do, especially those playing on PS3. This is game breaking if they don't fix it. This is one thing that is justified bitching about on the BFs, but it will probably get lost in a sea of trash.

Arcanist won't be available this weekend.

Jobs are only available for 1.0 characters. The quests are not implemented so they aren't usable by new characters. This makes me wonder, will 1.0 characters have job skills? They mentioned we'd have to re-quest them...

Last I checked, only way you get the advanced jobs in this beta phase is if you transfer over your character from 1.0. Job Quests for newly created characters aren't coming until phase 4 (open beta). And Arcanist is only at launch? I believe.
