Some people would eat Apple Pies as well. I usually brought a stack of Mithkabobs, depending on how well the party went would decide if I used them after the first one.

This is exactly what I did. Apple pies for my blm, and a stack of kabobs for melee, and I wouldn't eat unless I could tell that the party was going to be a good one. /check the teammates and if they had as many white and blue boxes as I had, it was going to be good times at the jungle.

Seems a bit weird to me as well, but the WS themselves have that description, the trait implies something else. Either way, I haven't played BRD enough to truly know how often that proc activates, but considering BL is only 15 secs and DoT ticks take like 3 seconds (and multiple DoT sources from a single job count as a single tick), you don't have that much to watch when being practical.

edit: all this might change in P4, but for now, BRD is easy yo.

You see, bloodletter is the hardest proc to watch for, and yet it's still really easy due to Bloodletter being a damage ability and not WS. How much easier are the other procs to watch for? Used Heavy Shot? Keep an eye for Straight. Used Wide Volley? Keep an eye out for Rain, used Rain? Keep an eye out for Quick Nock.

But this is exactly what DRG and MNK do, without the "keeping the eye out" (save WS misses): they execute WS in a set order.

If BRD instead had a fixed proc (e.g. every 6th WV is a free RoD, every 10th second of DoT resets BL, etc.) then BRD would be similarly simplified: instead of decision making, you are just executing your normal attack order.

Looking at your hotbar as a BRD is no harder than looking at your hotbar on MNK.

BRD has probably the highest mechanical skill ceiling out of all the DPS jobs due to its pseudo-combos being based solely on procs, placing a higher demand on a player's ability to react.

I'm sure "highest mechanical skill ceiling" and "higher demand on a player's ability to react" are synonyms for "easiest job" though.

That's all I've heard. From the beginning I didn't pick a stupid side of this argument, I asked for it to be dropped because it's been going on forever and it's sooooo dumb to hear the same words being repeated over and over like we didn't hear it the first few pages. We heard you, we responded, you're unhappy we disagree. We get it.

The only reason why I picked the side I did was because you bit my post where I told everyone was making a mountain out of an anthill.

Then you started dragging out opinions that people have had from some other period of time in threads or whatever like this somehow justifies whatever crazy ass point you had which TOTALLY MAKES SENSE LOL. Ah! Just realized; Carraway (if you're still lurking) you used the same name on the Beta forums correct? I remember discussing some of the GLA mechanics with you on the beta forums if so. Have you tested them since Phase 3 started to compare? Everyone seems to be spamming Flash again and I was curious if anything changed that would warrant that.

You can sub flash so shouldn't feel too bad. The only limiting factor would be MRD/WAR MP but we also have Overpower which deals damage in the process of being an AoE hate tool so I don't think its too much of an issue. Personally I find it more useful to focus down single mobs in a group instead of just Flash spamming and letting everyone else AoE things to death. GLD hate combo isn't too shabby for damage and the sooner you kill 1 mob out of the group the less damage your tank will be taking so it helps with healer MP as well.
