The pug discussion and photos are possibly the high point of this entire thread.
I'm pretty sure that pixie vagina is more interesting than dogs and bad groups.
Why did I interpret that as your dog's vagina?
I didn't know you were into that, xopher.
Once early access roles around this thread needs to get nuked
almost made me search for it on my work computer ... would've been an interesting thing to talk to IT about doing a search for.
good read if your a min/maxer tho this is all phase 3 data .. should expect slight changes from final release but at-least somebody is out there doing work already for the rest of us try hards.

Good information and damned nice Linkshell name (Dancing Mad).
Seiken, Kaeko, and Dancing Mad do good work, but a few things stuck out to me. The statement about never reaching the enmity cap seemed weird to me, because we're already doing over 70-75k dmg in ~5-minute fights. We also think that there might be differing cure multipliers on enmity depending on the spell you use based on phase 1 testing.
Since this thread is kinda lacking in an actual topic-related post, stuffs:

Granted there's probably quite a few people who applied for multiple applications for a better chance at getting a code, but nevertheless a nice milestone achieved.Originally Posted by @FF_XIV_EN
If there is multiplier scaling, and level is taken into account vs mob level, how much of what we currently know would really apply to the encounters that matter? Could be that there's a lot more to be investigated and I'd really be suprised if we knew so much given what we have access too. Regardless, the fact that we can already know a decent amount of game mechanic formulas is a testament to how well communities understand game development mechanics. At least, it's a better starting point then most MMO's I've been privy to.
Well if you factor in that most of the testing done so far can invalidated by terrible controls or understanding of stat/game mechanics, then add a dose of "entire system still subject to change past level 35" then you could argue that we're still not at a good starting point.
And to clarify, I have no idea whether or not some of the stuff that's come out has been parsed properly or controlled properly, but when I read some of the things I read or hear some of the etc, I question the entire process itself. I do know some of it is not accurate and at least one of these types of threads was deleted last night.
You don't make a damage formula by keeping one stat the same, making it sort of work and claiming that each class is has its own formula.
You don't test for critical hit rate then say still waiting to see how much DEX effects crit.
And certainly you don't go on and on about how determination is sort of an everything stat that is really good for healers because of how it effects their heals when determination is very clearly a stat that does very few things and those very few things are very specific. Further, you don't post a spreadsheet with cure potency testing where you control determination and vary MND, then raise determination and vary MND to get 2 sets of different cure data then do a third test where you control MND but vary determination but oh, let's throw this out as bad data when it's painfully obvious the first 2 sets of tests were done curing yourself while the third was done curing someone else and that's why the numbers no longer made sense and none of this made you realize that determination wasn't a healing stat.
But I'll stop ranting, when we have a more final release of the game then I think a lot of us will be more willing to no life a weekend to get an accurate data set than simply trying to be first.
