I'm glad they kept the Natalan BGM. I thought it was one of the best pieces in 1.0.
Also nothing to say that this isn't just the groundwork for the duty finder and it will be expanded upon further with more options as time goes on.
Music was top notch. I am continued to excite.
Good vid, good vibes, good game, sir.
Only thing that gave me the mildest irk was seeing the Monk just auto attacking without greased lightning or any moves, but that's only because I know what they can do, haha.
Wonder if they will have a support "role" for 8 man parties
I dunno what the point of dedicated support is when it comes to actually playing a game. It seems like support roles are far more passive than they should be to make for exciting gameplay. Most support roles get mixed with other roles, support tank, support healer, support DPS, though in ARR the support aspect is secondary so you'll always be doing your main role foremost (BRD = DPS) and supporting secondary.
I'm feeling that music in the new Tour of Eorzea video.
Interesting. I always assumed that area towards the end of the New Beginning trailer was Mor Dhona but it looks nothing like it in this video. So where exactly is that area in the New Beginning trailer?
Could still be there. Mor Dhona is a region so theres likely 3-4 zones. Terrain can vary quite alot per area. I'm hoping its in theres I dont want another tease of an awesome area that we can't goto like in ver1 opening or say Tavazian city ruins...
You mean when the Legacy Bros get teleported in? Looked like the Tangle area of Mor Dhona
Not sarcasm, but is the best way to get people to play your online FF to show them a picture of fighting a Behemoth in the snow.
Better than fighting a dragon in a tree, maybe.
oh man what happens when they show a giant adamantoise in the sagoili desert
There could be a type of a daily GC quest that asks you to vanquish the beast Behemoth. Yoshi said that in this fight, you have to break his horns first to deal damage. Maybe the horn is a granted drop and when traded back to your GC you get a reward from a pool of rewards that vary in quality. Think of it like promy ENMs.
I think you are making to big of a deal about how they showed behemoth. Lore wise you would find him in a snowy mountain, like cacturs are generally desert related. Because they showed him in what might think is his natural habitat doesnt mean they are trying to bring back negative nostalgia.
The fact he is in the game is cool, and they are prolly going to do behemoth like Odin and those other big NMs (saw simurgh a few videos ago) Seems like the tours videos shows a big NM fate at the end (because they said it was going to be fate style).
You also cant make assumptions about the gear and drops. I mean you bitch about having negative ffxi nostalgia then you bitch that the drops arent going to be good enough.
Im sure there is going to be a healthy balance to the two. (gear vs. ease of encounter)
Sometimes I read FFXIV forums and wonder what the hell people want cause they just complain about everything.
