They are really well done, amazing xp for the first time though and some nice gil.

That is one thing i have noticed, between the guildhests and the dungeons themselves(specifically the mini bosses within the dungeons) the dev team have really done a fine job of introducing mechanics in waves, showing you glimpses of each mechanic and then ultimately exploiting those mechanics in the boss fights. It is really refreshing this sort of ingame education taking place not only seamlessly with the gaming experience, but in a FF game of all places.

Do people really think the first dungeon that you can get to in 2-3 days is going to be Gradius hard?

Even with infinite lives I had trouble beating that game... In fact I don't even know if I did. Maybe once at most.

I heard about the fat stacks for the first run-through that tapers off as you do them again. What type of XP are we looking at in comparison? I was thinking of just saving them for the second or third class leveling, since the first one easily advances through main-line quests.

I think the very first two at level 10 gave like 8-10k exp. They are usually a good chunk of a level, more than half I think?

edit: But yeah, after the first time, they give pretty terrible experience.

Most give like 1-2k~ xp for a complete with a first time completion bonus of like 6-11k on them? something to that effect.

Finished all the GH that were available in the Beta with some LS mates. Was good fun and we only needed one person each time so the DF was a great help. The hardest one imo was the one with the plants and the poisoned ground around the area. As a healer that was tough!

I liked the potential they showed for possibilities in end game, there was some nice variation.

I only did the ones up to level 20 but the first run gets you from 7k-12k xp plus a 1k-4k gil each run. There also really quick and fun.

If you have a dedicated group, it's super fast exp/gil, but it does get old fast. It's a good way to burn up to lvl 15, if it's an alt, and you've nothing but your hunting log to sustain you.

They can get old to us more experienced players, but they do a great job teaching players the skills and tools they need to succeed at the point of the game where the guildhest is introduced.

Ohhh, I see. Yeah I can see how that would grow repetitive. I'm interested in seeing in the near future some hard numbers for the various ways we can level our characters up.

When we find out the best Fate chains, and have add ons/websites with the timings. Jumping from Fate to Fate will be one of the fastest if things stay the way it is. There was the chain event around level 29, with the quirin. Nets over 25k xp in like 15 or less minutes, especially when there is more people.

Your talking about the highbridge chain? Yeah I ran that a few times and it was very nice xp wise, any idea how long it takes that chain to restart once completed?

Yup but no idea on the timing didn't really pay attention to it lol, also to add there were a number of fates that occur near it that if timed right can add another 10k xp onto the run.

E Thanalan was the best place to do FATES from 20-26 and I was still doing them after 30 because more people there than at Cancer.
