    Dailies in WoW felt like an unfortunately necessary evil, they padded out the endgame content, you didn't technically have to do them, and you certainly didn't need to do them everyday, but if you didn't you'd fall behind, the gear from them usually helped you out in getting into raids, but high tier raid gear was better in almost all cases.

    TERA's dailies were retarded, they weren't padding the content, they were the content, as long as 14 has content that is enhanced by the ability to do some dailies for w/e sweet rewards that will make the content slightly easier or more manageable and doesn't act like doing 15 dailies a day is required/what you are supposed to be doing.

    Or something.

    A bit confused by that. Can you have an option where itll appear on both? (Or is that accomplished by not labeling with with sheathe or drawn). Otherwise I'm a huge fan of that.

    New RPGSite interview about Lightning, Xbone and PVP.

    Once I'm back in Japan I will probably write a long forum post again to explain in more detail to the fans. Myself, I am one of those who really wants to make sure that the FF14 world is kept safely in a FF14 way - so I don't want to destroy the lore. There's going to be plenty of cutscenes and explanation of the reasons in the storylines of why Lightning can appear in FF14.
    To answer your question straightforward: The policy has not changed on Microsoft's side.

    I really want the community to stick together and not be split into two or be divided because of that reason. That's one of the reasons that means that unless the policy chances, Xbox just doesn't make sense to us.
    First of all, we are going to introduce one part of the PVP we're planning to make, Coliseum. This is going to be 4 vs. 4 or 8 vs. 8. With this next beta phase 4, we're going to test that out - so you'll be able to find out what happens when different classes or jobs fight against each other within FF14.

    This Coliseum will be introduced with patch 2.0, straight away after launch. Six months after launch, we're planning to also introduce another PVP called Frontline. This is more like a RvR - Realm versus Realm. This uses whole zones - it's a large-scale PVP.

    I like that the PvP isn't mandatory. Also good for Yoshi for sticking it to the Xbox Policy. As I read more and more interviews, Yoshi-P is a really smart guy.

    Idk what it is but I just love reading Yoshidas interviews. He seriously seems to be pushing the PvP aspect of the game, seeming to even detail some customization to come with PvP specs? Seems like it could be interesting.

    I don't particularly like PvP in MMO's.... but this mostly stems from the fact that there always seems to be PvP-specific gear that takes just as long to attain as PvE gear, and I don't care enough to go after both. I got tired of getting rolled in other games because somebody was decked out in +pvp dmg gear or whatever.

    They could make you go PvP in standard-issue gear so that you could see player vs player, not college-kid-with-18-hrs-a-day vs full-time-job-with-kids.

    TERA's dailies were only boring because nothing good ever came out of them, reward-wise. The difficulty and originality reflected the reward in TERA. Hopefully FFXIV is different.
