I think they could have gone a little bigger. Looking like your typical useless pet at that size. Don't necessarily have to be mad about it though. :3
I'm holding judgement until I see how the job plays, more animations, and attacks. They are also called Proto-Ramuh, Proto-Ifrit. I think the Proto means there could be other versions that can be summonable.
They could also make it where when your summon is doing an action the animation takes on the form of the actual summon in a ghost like extension type of way, if that makes sense.
If it can fit in the story, larger summons could make cool LBs for SMN. Ifrit can bust out an AoE Hellfire, Shiva can Diamond Dust, etc.
Primals are worshipped by Beastmen. With Shiva planned, whose more likely to be the snow zone Beastmen: Orcs or Gigas?
Mamool Ja are also confirmed so I'm hoping they get a primal.
I'm unsure if Orc are confirmed in any fashion? I'm hoping the Mamool Ja get like Quetzacoatl or some shit.
I'd lean on Gigas even though canonically they aren't known to be in Coerthas (which is apparently now our Snowy zone)
Your sig is missing Pascal (and Cheria and Sophie), Kiarax. Unacceptable.
It's obviously Qiqirns.
Spoiler: show
I'm pretty sure there's never been any official mention of Orcs... and I sure as hell hope there never is. Most down's-syndrome beastmen ever. Quadav are a close 2nd.
Do the Mamool Ja have any sort of implied elemental alignment in ARR so far? (They were wind-aligned before, ya?)
No real elemental alignment is given for Mamool Ja, no. Mamool Ja hang around the Wanderer's Palace/Bronze Lake in Upper La Noscea and are referred to as "Mamool Ja Mercenaries" by at least one NPC which makes me believe they're hired by the Sahagins and probably hail from the East (if they have a primal; they also might be from Radz-at-Han) which would explain why we didn't see them before Dalamud. They work in collusion with the Serpent Reavers, which lends to this idea of Sahagin employment, but I digress, the Reavers annoy me because they've clearly got their wits about them more than Ifrit's tempered captives even though they've been SOULWASHED by a primal.
And I do kind of hope Goblin/Qiqirn/et al. get 'primals' in some sense or another
I feel they definitely should. Even the Sylphs have gone polarized on the topic of Primals and despite being friendly, owe some allegiance to Ramuh. The same should be said about the currently aggressive Goblins/Qiqirn out there.
Too bad the Kujata name was gobbled up by the Marauder questline.
So in FFXI we were mercenaries to stop the Mamool Ja & Co., but in FFXIV the Mamool are the mercenaries. Those bastards.
It was also said that the Emperor encountered a Primal in the Far East. I'm hoping a lot of different Primals show up. FFXI was "Hey guyz the 6 elements are covered thats it 4u, have some terrestials."
Qiqirn clearly worship the Fat Chocobo.
Fat Chocobo battle theme would probably be the greatest thing ever.
^ FFIV. Even the tuba playing sounds fat.
The only song that sounds "fatter" than the Fat Chocobo of IV is Palmer's theme in VII.
Goddamn that fat, greasy, lard-in-coffee bastard Palmer.
