I think XIII had a few fights similar to it (just completely fucking on-rails), so I was pleased to see that SE isn't running away from the concept. Of course, they did this in Tactics a few times, and even farther back (although rarely), like with the Golem summon in FFV.
We have that already though, not to the extent of the T-Rexaur, but similar. The Adamantoise in Uldah, and the Treants in Grid.

I seem to remember Yoshi saying that the SE Account Management site could now accept 1.0 codes again but I can find no evidence of that fact. Did I just make it up, or can you once again register Goggles codes and whatnot? I have some buddy passes to give to friends but I don't know if they can use them yet or not.
You're mixing a few things, so I'll only answer what I know.
No one can register old 1.0 buddy passes yet, but they've said in the past that they should remain valid. I expect that to open once Phase 3 is complete, and I expect Phase 4 (Open Beta) to require that you have a valid XIV account code (such as a buddy pass or a valid pre-order code) in order to participate. That is but a guess, however, based on the few places that have said "beta codes will expire after Phase 3".
True, perhaps the old beta codes will expire because no one will need a code at all (or more accurately, anyone who asks for one, gets one).
Before someone asks... "beta codes will expire?"
Spoiler: show
I think that's because beta 4 + release is an entire new client even for PC and the way ps3 does shit is you need an entire new code for the new client. Could be wrong though.
Oohhh that would make much muuuuch more sense, thanks!
I have two NA PC codes if anyone wants to try the game. PM me.
I also have an extra beta key I snagged the other day if anyone's following the thread and is interested. PM me.
NA PC.
Where can I get info on what Class skills each Job can equip now?
xivdb's skills show which jobs/classes can equip them, but it's not in a friendly table format if that's what you're looking for.
LL had a Gobbue on a hill nearby.
