Aside from a few nitpicks here and there, I really liked FFXII. Especially the Zodiac job edition. Playing XII always makes me feel like I'm playing a single player FFXI lol.

I've been playing through XII:IZJS while waiting for ARR. Grinding mobs for specific loot steals/drops feels very much like an MMO, so they got that part right. (Hunts feel very NMish as well.)

Still not quite sure how enmity works (beyond "cast Decoy"), though.

Absolutely, I remember this being a recurring theme for me lol. I could never figure out if there was an actual enmity system in place at all... In the end I remember just having to rely on Decoy, as you mentioned, and after that tanking was pretty simple. That just brought back a lot of memories from playing through that damn game. Haha

Everyone has different tastes. Everyone has different levels of enjoyment. Some people can tell if they like something 10 minutes into a game.

Not sure what the issue is. Since I did not say that FFXII sucked, I said "I" found it to be the worst of the series. I did not play it to completion as I did not like it.

What is the issue? I am not allowed to not like a game?

If you thought it was the best in the series then fine, you will not find me bashing you for that just cus I did not like it.

I played Aion til 31 and didn't like it so I quit. Same with WoW. Same with FFXIV. Some things just don't click from the beginning. No one said anything about anything sucking either. Just that they didn't like it. If anything FFXI sucked massive donkey dicks and I was hooked from day 1.

Also again, I did think FFXII sucked, that does not mean that IT sucked. I am sure everyone here has a specific FF game they thought sucked, while a friend thought the exact same one was awesome.

II (JP II). And I don't mean it's "worst but still possibly great" like you seem to want to say about XII.

I imagine quite a lot of people might want to throw XIII up there, but I have no opinion on that one.
