Yeah throw more mods at it lol
Yeah throw more mods at it lol
Unless you can regulate the feelings that turn people into pussies then I don't know if there's a solution.
Lack of information is a shit excuse. A metric fuck ton of info was found out just yesterday and everyone is still doing the same dumb shit. Whenever there's new info it's talked about for two posts then buried in another stupid argument.
More mods would definitely not help. Church's feelings post is extremely accurate.
So would you prefer there be speculation on dungeon names? Ability names?
Not all of the info released yesterday is useful or warrants a 10 page discussion about how a boost of 30 potency is a game changer. Especially, when all of our context for ARR is level 30 dungeons and some level 50 beastmen in beta, which were weak.
As for people arguing about stupid shit? Yeah that happens and it could definitely be toned down, but I still don't believe you're going to see an improvement until early access, maybe open beta depending on what we have access to.
My point this whole time has been that it's not going to change.
You do see the irony in discussing pointless arguments while making a pointless argument with people who woke up with 12 fucks and will go to bed with a dozen.
The arguments aren't the problem, the training wheels and tissues are.
Fair enough
Of course I see the irony, but to bitch about something and then say nothing will change is just as pointless.
I definitely see the irony in people who having been regularly posting for years to a forum for a game they don't play... complaining about "the bads" in said forum.
That's one reason why it'll get better. We'll be able to call people on their shit. It was nice being able to be like "No, Homam body has 1% TA, not 2.5% or 5%. Here's a conclusive test with a sufficient sample size that proves it." or "Unless you managed to stack your dex up to [this] amount then actually no, it isn't doing shit to your critical hit rate".It's not like we can talk about what the best gear is when we've been unable to play any endgame yet, so people just talk in circles because of a lack of information.
This x10000.
When ARR goes gold, the level of tolerance for nonsense from armchair QBs will go back to where it should be: nil. For the last ~3 years, "I don't play this game but let me tell you how it works, based on other different games that I did play" has been far too frequent of an argument.
So Scholar sure looks interesting, huh?
Frankly, I'm not worried about ACN not being a healer from the jump since subbing cure & prot should float them from 15 until 30, at which point they'll get their real heal with SCH. Conj may get Esuna at 18, but they don't get Cure 2 until 30, so. :/
Well duh i wouldn't want a guy with a bow to be the healer! ( it's ACN, not ARC)
PD: ninja edit or i'm too sleepy? lol
The (non-legacy server) problem is what you saw in the beta: you can't sub Cure unless you have it, which means the only starting area with healing is Gridania. Additionally, there's going to be a serious bottleneck at healer for the early dungeon Duty Finder (again, non-legacy), as CNJ is the only possible option to fill that slot; even if you're a THM or ACN with Cure subbed and you could mainheal a lowbie group, you're still slotted as DD.
While it is ridiculous that you have to do a work around, by the time you do duty finder (lvl 15) you have already unlocked the ability to level additional classes and Cure is level 2 on conj.
lol@ the suggestion that we need more new endgame exposure to identify the bads.
