She really should have lawyered up. She failed hard by saying she "assumed" it was because of religion. Fuck, even if you did assume don't say that if you actually want to win! -_- She better get a damn good lawyer too cause he's gonna have to get creative to repair the damage done by her closing remarks.
People really need to get educated better on how the legal system actually works before going into court (especially with no lawyer), because justice and the right thing are not what usually happens. Legal system is pro at destroying any credibility in your story even if it sounded 100% air tight and common sense to you.
The story reads pretty one sided to me. Sure, she admits to some minor things but there doesn't really seem to be a real reason why all of a sudden all these people would team up and decide to bully her in the way described. People bully others but this is really extreme and from her story it looks like it has very little provocation. I mean, most people hear "Wiccan" and think "Well, that person is crazy" not "That person is communing with the devil and needs to be put down!". There are probably a few crazy Christian people in the TSA but I wouldn't think the majority would even care one way about Wiccan. I think there is probably a personality reason, i.e. the lady acted like a crazy person, for everyone at her job to hate her so much.
Never underestimate the power of ignorance. Back when I was in high school my parents found out I was studying paganism and wiccan and they freaked out and said they were just like the cult in the Dragnet movies. I've also seen first hand how cliques can gang up on someone who whistleblows. It's stupid.
Thank god someone else besides me remembers that movie. Made my day.
Kuya, were your balls turned into newts?
If so, they will get better.
