I do like the Giants unis :<
phillies suck wow.
(yes I know we didnt even face hallalee)
hallaworlee
Here's hoping that we destroy the Reds and knock them far enough out of the race that they'll be willing to trade us Ramon Hernandez.
Can someone on the Phillies just move a player/players already, this trade deadline shit is fucking stupid
Reading the Astros turned down Singleton/Cosart/Brown for Pence because they'd rather flip Brown. What in the flying motherfuck
You're never going to get any more value for a trade than that
With that package you should get something like Matt Kemp or even fuckin' Bautista
What bothers me the most is that people are so quick to call Brown a bust and expendable. I listened to WIP for about half an hour after the Hamels/Cain game and wanted to stick something in my ear to make the pain stop.
phillies are scared cuz they just got raped by the GIANTS
I tried to explain to my uncle that Dom Brown is only 23 and he'll improve, but yeah, everyone seems to be ready to give up on him unfairly.
.@magelb I believe we've reached the "Bend Me Over a Table" stage of trade deadline rumors.
I don't think i've ever seen a season where so many players are batting sub .250
Bring back amphetamines.
.250's the league average
Hunter Pence is coming to Philly, at least Singleton & Cosart involved in the deal
http://www.philly.com/philly/blogs/p...l-is-done.htmlRuben Amaro Jr. has his man again. The Phillies and Astros are close to a trade that would send Hunter Pence to Philadelphia, according to FOXSports.com. The deal could be finalized Friday night, the report said.
Top prospects Jonathan Singleton and Jarred Cosart are reportedly a part of the package being sent to Houston. Singleton was just removed from Clearwater's game at Palm Beach.
More as it happens.
I love you dom brown, please don't leave me
So glad Atl didn't give up their top pitching prospects for Pence. Sure he's got a nice .290 career average but he's never hit more than 25 hr's or driven in 100 and he plays 81 games a year in a small park. Granted he's been stuck on a horrible team during that stretch but still. I'd love to have him but not for what they were asking.
They just took him out of the game here, obviously saying his goodbyes. The announcers said it was a 4 for 1 deal reported by ken rosenthal, the two other players to be named later.
20-game hit streak now for Uggla with a 3-run homer in a scoreless game in the 7th.
