Before tonight's game (and Sandoval's homerun and the addition of Beltran) the Giants were the only team in the majors without a single player who had 10 homeruns. In fact, there wasn't even a AAA team who didn't have a player with 10 homeruns. I found that stat pretty funny.

Something else has to be going on here we aren't hearing about, that package is about 10x as much as we gave up for Halladay and Rube should be fired on the spot if he pulls the trigger.

Hunter Pence is coming to Philly, at least Singleton & Cosart involved in the deal

Ruben Amaro Jr. has his man again. The Phillies and Astros are close to a trade that would send Hunter Pence to Philadelphia, according to FOXSports.com. The deal could be finalized Friday night, the report said.

Top prospects Jonathan Singleton and Jarred Cosart are reportedly a part of the package being sent to Houston. Singleton was just removed from Clearwater's game at Palm Beach.

So glad Atl didn't give up their top pitching prospects for Pence. Sure he's got a nice .290 career average but he's never hit more than 25 hr's or driven in 100 and he plays 81 games a year in a small park. Granted he's been stuck on a horrible team during that stretch but still. I'd love to have him but not for what they were asking.
