Ehh, for the most part the trade deadline is bogus now. It's not like how it used to be. Some of the best trades for teams now a days hit after the waiver deadline by august 31st. Remember, our NLCS MVP was picked up just to cock block the padres last year, and there's been quite a few while not flashy big names like Beltran and Bourne, but more beneficial for the teams overall. I wouldn't be surprised if the Yankee's still pull something off for pitching help before August 31st.

What you don't hear on ESPN about the Yankee pitching staff is that they're actually 3rd in the AL in FIP, the only questions is if Bartolo and Garcia can stay healthy through November. They tried to upgrade to a guy who's better than both of those guys but found reason not to (Ubaldo too expensive and COL refused a pre-trade physical, Wandy too expensive) so they chose to stand pat. They have as good a chance as anyone else.

Ankiel has 6 homers this year; 4 against Atlanta.. 2 last night and a grand slam tonight. How is it that Atlanta makes the shitty teams look so pro? Lol. Le Sigh.

Also, I hate Derek Lowe. 3-1 lead given to him? he pitches okay for a few innings? Nah, let's give up a 5 run inning real quick.

Not to mention Heyward slumping like no tomorrow. It's basically Uggla, some of Prado, and a bunch of rotting corpses out there trying to swing a bat.

Forgot about Freeman. Him and Uggla are carrying Atlanta right now since the pitching's been pretty crap in the second half thus far.
