I was reading up a bit on his hitting streak, and the consensus is he's still the same hitter as he was last year and early this year, only this time he's actually getting fucking lucky and the balls landing. He's not striking out any more then he did based on previous years averages. Just "bad luck" in finding holes. I know it won't happen, but I think it would be funny to watch Aki's brain melt if Uggla breaks DiMagio's hit streak record.

But yeah. Early this year, just like Heyward, his BABIP was absolute shit, and now he's getting crazy lucky. I think the hit streak will probably end this weekend.. but still. 30+ is absurd.
