statistically speaking, since there way more batters than pitchers, chances are that the pitching is that good

How does that make any sense to you? How is that even "statistically speaking"? 4 out of the top 5 offenses in the majors are all in the AL and 3 of the bottom 5 offenses are in the NL. How many runs do you think the DH adds?
the probability of many players being x is lower than the probability of a lot fewer players being y. In this case x = bad and y = good.
It's ridiculously difficult to compare the AL to the NL in terms of the DH. Just because he is the DH in the AL doesn't mean he wouldn't be in the lineup at all in the NL. Their number in the lineup is also a big factor, but again that's hard to make any comparison to the NL due to what I just mentioned. I would say a DH adds an average of 30-40 runs a year for a team, but without doing a few hours of math, I don't really have anything to base that on.
Anyone catch the end of the Jays vs Red Sox game? WTF was Boston thinking, how do you decide to try to steal second with two out in the top of the ninth, an 0-2 count and the go ahead run at the plate. Dude was thrown out by a mile to end the game.
So. Phillies.
they rule, braves suck, etc.
Archie, are you ready for the fucking fury this weekend?
What are the pitching matchups for the Brewers? P. sure Hamels starts tonight, then Halladay/Lee/WORLY in that order.
I think we're getting Wolf tonight who should shut us down with his 65 mph curve. Prince Fielder also tends to light up Hamels, might not be our night.
Also, where Utley was plunked:

Nah, you get the fury of the Narv-dog tonight, Chris Narveson. Not sure the order of Wolf/Gallardo/Marcum after that, but you are lucky enough to skip Greinke.
And oh yeah, I'm ready.
except I'm wearing my packers jersey, so I'm not really that ready
My bad. I still think we'd fair better against Greinke than Wolf. He's a soft tossing lefty who's also an ex-Phillie. That's just bad news for our hitters.
God the Phillies lineup is atrocious tonight too
Shane 8 Valdez 6 Polanco 5 Pence 9 Mayberry 3 Ruiz 2 Francisco 7 Martinez 4 Hamels 9
That's good though, saving Halladay vs. Greinke for the NLCS
3.7 WAR so far this season, 5.2 WAR in 2009 (in only 120 games!)...just sayin
His main weakness is that he can't hit lefties.
Great article here about "the Nyjer incident" http://disciplesofuecker.com/another...-nyjer-morgan/
Also, shitting on a guy as "woeful" because he's hitting well and he has a high BABIP is pretty hilarious, considering he has a career .343 BABIP and his line drive % this season is over 4% better than his career average. Is he just permanently lucky? He's right around 55th in baseball in wOBA this season.
2008: 91 wRC+
2009: 108 (hey, he actually didn't suck!)
2010: 73 (back to being bad, and then some)
He's really not all that good, and definitely not good enough to be acting like he does.
Anyways, fuck Girardi. Three games lost on Boston because this fuckwad is hellbent on resting his entire bullpen and relying on rejects like Scott Proctor and Aaron Laffey. They were signed to mop-up, not pitch in key situations everyday you dumb dick.
wRC+ of 124 is pretty good bro, especially as a plus defender at a premium position. (16.6 career UZR/150 in CF)
If you interpret any of his act as "smugness", you're doing it wrong. God forbid people actually have fun playing a game, I'm sure Steinbrenner would be rolling in his grave.
