I know you can't expect a season that started 2-11 (inb4 someone points out that it's only 13 of 162 games. Find me a list of teams that started 2-11 and made the playoffs) to end with a trip to the playoffs, but the Sox really can not let this shit slip away. Then again, if they let Tampa in, then I won't miss as many classes in October.

Going into this year I did not expect the Rays to have even a semblance of a shot at the playoffs, so I'm gonna be pleased regardless. No one expected the Rays to do anything this year but kinda suck.

I really hope the Rays keep it competitive until the end of the season. I'll be in Florida next week and attending a game with my Yankees fan family. Gonna be cheering for the Rays out of spite, so hopefully it'll be a meaningful game for them (or even a clincher? Hmm.)
