Fucking Terry Collins crying at the post gamer because of the batting title? Grow a fucking sack, man.
I saw that. What a puss.
Gah, I still can't believe how close my fb money league was. Final score lost was 12-10. I lost total hits by 3, SB by 1, offensive BB by 3, IP by 1.1, Wins were tied, Saves by 2, BB by 1, and whip by .02 8 catagories and only needed to get two of them. Oh well, I break even at least.
Oh and LOL Boston and Atlanta![]()
GO RAYS!! ahhhhhhh, what a game!! god damn lol, such a roller coaster of emotion, I cannot believe I managed to see a game like that in person. I'll tell my grandchildren about this shit. down 7-0 going into the bottom of the 8th? so nuts haha, whole place figured we were losing and the Red Sox were ahead.
best moment was Dan freaking Johnson, bottom of the 9th, two outs, two strikes, down by one...boom home run by a few feet, shortest home run possible in the park. After that the whole place felt like we had it won. So improbable, go from assuming he would strike out and it was over...can't stop smiling haha
RAYS!
That's what I said ... Dan fucking Johnson ... motherfucker is almost useless except for random HRs when we need them the most.
At some point last night, using that % chance thing ESPN has, boston had a 100% chance to win the WC, and tampa had a .1% chance (yea yea over 100, but im sure theres a margin of error)
Watching the game on TV, I was sayin to myself, 'welp here comes strike 3'
This about sums up last night http://files.upit.me/1317320161.gif
I'm not totally understanding the AL seedings. I would think that the #1 record in the league would play the #4 wild card and the #2 seed plays the #3. Is the reason the Yanks aren't playing the wild card in the current situation is because they are in the same division? Are they trying to spread out that way?
Yes, same thing happened last year as well in both divisions. Giants opened against the Braves (wildcard) while the phillies had to face Cinci, and Tampa opened against Texas.
Phillies sweeping the Braves out of the playoffs totally makes up for losing the Eagles game to the Falcons a couple weeks ago
So, Diamondbacks eh?
Let's do this thing.
Ryan Braun: only player in MLB history with at least
.322 AVG (he has .332)
30HR (he has 33)
35 doubles (he has 38 )
5 triples (he has 6)
and
33 stolen bases (he has 33)
And he did it missing the better part of 2 weeks with a hamstring injury. Epic.
Guess it's time for playoff predictions.
Yankee's vs Tigers - Tigers in 5
Texas vs Tampa Bay - Texas in 4
Texas vs Tigers - Tigers in 7
Arizona vs Milwaukee - Milwaukee in 5
Phillies vs Cards - Phillies in 4
Phillies vs Milwaukee - Phillies in 7
Phillies vs Tigers - The Detroit Verlanders in 7
AL Cy Young - Verlander
AL MVP - Verlander
AL MotY - Joe Maddon
NL Cy Young - Kershaw
NL MVP - Braun (Kemp should get it but making the playoffs seems to get bonus points unless your Shawn Dunston)
NL MotY - Kirk Gibson What this guy did with the DBacks was nothing short of amazing. Raise your hand if you picked them to even compete, let alone win the division
Comeback player of the year - Ryan Vogelsong (close second from Pablo I almost ate myself into the minor leagues Sandoval)
Can't really pick Rookie of the Years since I really didn't pay attention to the rookies this year like in previous years![]()
So, I pretty much have to drive to Arizona to see a couple playoff games next week, considering my next job doesn't start until a week from Monday, right?
Go if you can. The crowd electricity is at a whole new level. I've been to one world series game and even though the a's lost the fans were nuts and into it till the last out (was also the clinching game for the reds so got to see a dog pile on the mound live even though I would have preferred it to be the a's winning lol.
