Well, let's try this again today. In the meantime, trying out a local Tempe brewpub - Four Peaks. The Kilt Lifter scottish ale is fantastic. Do we have any local BGers in Arizona? I dont recall any sports fans here.

No troll. Joe Buck is an abomination of a play by play host. At least the Giants TV and Radio guys have some knowledge of the game instead of getting his job through his late daddy.
uhhh, aren't the giants announcers continually known as one of the best (if not the best) in baseball?
They talked for 1.5 hours during a rain delay - zero baseball actually happening in front of them - earlier this year and it was some of the best radio I have ever heard. kruk and kuip are great
They can be incredibly snarky as well which I love. Couple years ago they were ripping on how horrible the press boxes are at the Nationals ball park and mocking how a simple pop up behind first could look like it was going over the fences.
Well that Victorino error is going to make for a lasting .gif. Also, strikezone.
The best broadcasters for the Phillies these days choose not to do TV.
Charlie Manuel on squirrels: "I dunno what I woulda done, but being from the south I'm a squirrel hunter, so if I had a gun...well I'm a pretty good shot."
Amazing.
Phillies should have won this series handily, instead, they sure are playing without a great deal of urgency or looking like a team that's expected to win it all.

Glad Randy wolf decided to throw batting practice today.
That was a serious poke by young.
God damn it Randy Wolf.

Both pulled after three lol![]()
Yep lot of both here, go to any Rays vs. Boston or Rays vs. Yankees games there's a lot of both fans in the stands, makes for some interesting dynamic when people start drinking and getting irritated with each other. Best experience was the game last year Rays vs. Yankees (when Price and Sabbathia were pitching) lot of Yanks fans in the outfield with my friend and I, perhaps one of the most fun games I've been to just with the ragging between the fans.
I got a lot of love for Yankees fans, they're not terribly obnoxious unlike Boston fans, they are assholes every time I deal with them. Also, I can man up and root for the Yankees as long as it means Boston is losing. We share that mutual hatred. It's nice.
How do you know I don't work in a kitchen?

You win this time...
I can't fucking believe how wonky the strikezone has been all series. Part of me wonders from time to time if it's just blatantly wrong onscreen graphics from TBS, or if the umps are all completely blind.
The one down the chute called a ball and calling Pence out at second in the first inning lead me to believe that the issue is with the umpires.
Not that it's a surprise, the Phils apparently have a ton of bad ump karma this season ('sup Joe West making up new rules on the fly).
I'm not sure exactly how much of it is the Phils farting around, and how much is the Cards still being red hot. Certainly the bottom half of the Phils' order left their bats in the clubhouse or something, because they've done precisely fuckall this series, and Howard is proving as good as ever at striking out in the postseason.
I'm depressed this game is even going to game 5, but at least it's at CBP with Doc on the mound, so the Cards are going to have to earn it if they want to topple the Phils (or the Phils are really gonna have to boot it).
I'd have to say it's the Phillies letting it slip away. They're letting a very hittable team off the hook. The Cardinals have an extremely potent offense to the point that our pitching isn't quite holding up. Winnable games? Absolutely. They blew a huge lead in game 2 and another lead in game 4.
