There was some stats I saw earlier comparing the first x amount of games this season to the last 2 years.

This year the ERA, BA and a few other stats are all the lowest of the 3 years (this far into the season). So to this point, this is the best year of pitching from an all-around point of view, and league wide. Some bullshit about more pitchers throwing breaking balls on 3-0 3-1 3-2 counts when hitters for years have been trained that it'll be a fastball.

I also saw that there are more regular starters injured right now than ever before, and a larger percentage of All Star caliber players are slumping out of the gate than usual. I'm sure it will even out eventually.
