It's one of the many joys of playing catcher. I switched to second base after off and on as an emergency catcher in little league cause that shit just tears up your knees, let alone all the foul tips into your body and what not. I always thought Terry Steinbach was the man, after catching my first game, i thought him and every other catcher was just fucking nuts.

If anything, Posey was at fault for the bad footwork getting caught with his feet in that position causing it to roll violently. Listen it was clean and it was unfortunate. The runner has to run into the catcher blocking the plate. It's that simple.
