At least Reyes beat out Tulo.
At least Reyes beat out Tulo.
And Matt Cain beat out Tommy Hanson. Good old biased Bochy.
Also.. no Sabathia? Really? derpderp.
Too fat.
Well...I guess Cliff Lee is human after all
Cain pitches the sunday before the all star game so he won't be able to pitch anyways, so Hanson will still probably make it.
Can we PLEASE get Hinske in the lineup every day?!

So, Uggla still sucks, and hey, so does the waste of roster space; Proctor. ;o
David Robertson was a bigger All-Star snub than Sabathia.
...maybe bigger isnt the right word there
I just find it funny that Aki complains about Cain getting chosen over Hanson instead of Voggelsong getting chosen over Hanson.
For the record CC is scheduled to pitch the Sunday before the All Star break so he wouldn't be allowed to pitch anyway. Cole Hamels is also scheduled to pitch the Sunday before (along with Cain) so I'm sure Hanson will get the call to replace one of them.
Derek Jeter making the all star team has made me rage beyond all hell.
Some players will always get fan voted in just on name alone. Cal Ripken Jr's last year was not a good one, but he got voted into to start, and of course won the mvp for that year. Overall though for the most part I think the fans actually got it right for once. Cain was an obvious 2 for 1 pick along with Hammels so no beef there. One thing brought up on the Giants broadcast yesterday was semi jokingly saying Brian Wilson should start the game since A: It's typically one inning, and B: Bochy doesn't have to coin flip for which Phillies starter to choose to start.
Brian Wilson: 38.2IP, 33H 13ER 22BB 36K 1.49 WHIP 3.03 ERA 24/28 Save Opportunities
Joel Hanrahan: 38.1IP, 29H 6ER 8BB 33K .97 WHIP 1.41 ERA 24/24 Save Opportunities
Hope Wilson isn't the "closer" because he isn't the better one.
I'm pretty surprised by how well Hanrahan's done this year, honestly. Good for the guy to get in the ASG.
