Saw it last night, thought it was great. Great visuals, good acting, less cheesy 80s movie.

Saw it today. Definitely not a great movie, but I don't regret seeing it. Lots of unrealistic behavior, a plot that was kind of ridiculous even if you accept the premise, a crazy mix of today tech and future tech and then a super chick ala Dia Hard 4 (where kung fu makes supermodels as strong as guys on steroids and impervious even to being run over by SUVs).

It's also a little hard to understand why his memory was wiped at the start. Waiting to be contacted by rebels?

Plus, they kept the 3 boob girl and payed homage to the fat lady disguise but removed the mars and mutant story entirely. They basically deleted half of the movie to add more action scenes. The problem is, that half of the movie is what was most iconic about the original.

It also seemed odd that the resistance wasn't doing the bombings, wasn't protesting, wasn't doing anything but tagging some walls, but they were armed and camped out in the UK empire.

The Colony learns in advance from the news in the Empire (somehow being allowed to broadcast) that an invasion force is coming and the citizens (no forces like an armed resistance) just kind of linger around the invasion point.

Lots of holes in the story and it's kind of like in LOTR where the giant birds could have just flown them all the way, but it seems like the fall could have easily been sabotaged long before the events of this movie and would have been the main target of any armed resistance...

I also didn't understand why the Rekall guy and the co-worker seemed so secretive and suspicious and/or eager to pull out a gun.
