Yeah, no AH yet though it's been in the talks/been suggested. People suggested certain mats get added to token vendors, and now they are there.. so I could see them adding an auction house too.

I can't wait until they add an option to control what you see in chat, lol. Spammed /1 WTS SHIT is getting annoying.

Lol, done because of the lack of AH? D: Meh.

My argument is the game hasn't been up/live for a while. There's been a TON of changes/addictions since it was in beta, so at least they're listening to their small community. I'm gonna stick with it because... well, it's free. So hey.

Started playing this with some friends. We're not far yet, just working towards t2.

As a casual co-op dungeon grinder, it's kinda fun & it works. Shouldn't be treated as any more than that though.

But it's fun. The cute style & simplicity of the game makes it very accessible even for people who never played online games (and you don't need a good PC for it really). Don't mind the energy too much actually, though for crafting the cost seems a bit high. If you want to craft two pieces, you're basically done for the night unless you have enough crowns to buy CE.

Oh yea, this guide kinda helped us out in the beginning, it's not bad but as always do your own research too (wiki etc):

Yeah, I mostly did my own research via the wiki. Then again, I'm in T3 now and pretty much decked out, working on 5* stuff, but yeah. Definitely fun to do dungeon crawling with friends.

    You guys still play Akiyama?

Game is not bad now. AH & achievements are in. New boss is coming too.

We just kinda kept playing casually every now and then. Doing JK runs now and have T3 access.

4* & 5* is now bound when you craft it, so that led to some interesting dynamics lol.

I haven't played in a bit since I"ve been messing with other stuff, but i heard about 4/5* stuff binding. Really fucks over people who made money off crafting things for people. At last there's an AH now.. though it's not like you can AH 4/5* stuff lol. I still think the cost of energy it takes to make shit is just absurdly high.

I am checking this out (Steam's new Free to Play games library is to thank for that) and I am liking it so far. Playing it with a 360 controller makes it even more fun. Any tips?

Has it changed much since beta? Going to give it another shot due to gamepad support, that was my main complaint about beta. Hate using mouse+keyboard for that style of combat.

Most I know is that the energy system is still in place and still looks restricting if you want to play more than 2hrs a day.

Yeah, playing it with a 360 controller is the way to go for sure.

A million times more comfortable with the 360 pad.

How slow is the energy recharge? Got two refills(one from tf2 thing) and other from the going to haven completion. Or does it even recharge at all?

Recharges every 20ish hours or so, but steadily over time. Most play the game by just buying it in bulks of 100 with in game currency.

Do you have to do an entire tier start to finish to get access to porting to the second tier? I joined a group midway on the first tier of that far-left thingymabob, we worked the way to the next lobby zone, and called it quits since we were all low on energy. I leave back to the arcade, double check the thing, and I cant still only start at the beginning.....

Am enjoying that the game is populated now. It was a ghost town during beta for whenever I played, and it got old quit solo/duo. Level design is still a bit too simple, unless the real challenges/puzzles are on the later tiers only. I need to wait a day for my tank to refill so I can waste energy and figure out the crafting/recipe system so I can make a better sword.

Had a little laugh when I realized gamepad support is essentially having it emulate mouse movement. Cheap way to get it working without rewriting a lot of code though, and it does the trick. Not often I play something on my Mac that has gamepad support, and it worked fine with my DualShock3.

Smart implementation of Steam support also. No second log-in/password layer, it just goes with your Steam account, and uses its settings for voice chat.

There's a steam group you can join to mass spam/invite people to your friends list, then just invite them to the game to spam mini energy tanks for 15 a pop.

Hmm #1 tip, learn to properly use your shield. It makes you invincible against all kinds of damage, including environmental (spikes/fire etc). The rest is just learning to read monster attacks, which you will learn very quickly since there are not that many mob types.

As for damage types (normal, piercing, shadow, etc) this becomes more important from T2 and onward, especially with the latest patch that made quite a few mobs do piercing damage. Ghosts & devilets do shadow damage, so that's why they will rape you if you're a bit too careless, unless you have armor with shadow def.

Other thing I would say you need to know, is how to use your gate map. You can check the map at gates, but also in the dungeon itself (click menu in upper left corner > Gate Map). Bosses only show up in certain gates, so check your gatemap first to find which gate he is in. If you can farm the Tier1 boss (http://wiki.spiralknights.com/Snarbolax) in a group, it's a free way to get some 2* gear which should help towards getting your Tier2 access. 3 runs will give you around 10 tokens, which you can trade for a sword/shield/bomb.

They added AH, achievements, new items, added T1 boss.

And, tbh, I don't really play SK much more than 2 hours at a time, since it's pretty repetitive. But you can buy energy with crowns at any time. If you do Jelly King runs in T2, you'll make around 8-9k and have wasted normally only 70 energy. You would have 30 energy left + probably enough crowns to buy 200 energy from market (though prices fluctuate a lot). So, basically, you could just keep going. Not really true in T1 though, you make less crowns in a run there.

Crafting 5* gear is a pain though, since you will need 800 energy per synth.

Seems like Sega Pass was hacked? Since the game optionally operates on it I thought I'd post :3

is there any way to make high level gear without buying energy or are you basically stuck with merchant and mid tier ah stuff?
