That only works if you add funds to your wallet, not when you make purchases with a saved card, because I never get those.
Edit: Unless i disabled the email notifications which I don't remember doing.
Kaz Hirai is holding a press conference atm:
CC info was encrypted though \o/"Why weren't passwords encrypted?"
"The passwords were not encrypted. Next question."
Q: What is you message to hackers?
A: PlayStation has a lot of games from first party and third party developersQ: So where all this whole affair positions the PS brand?
A: PlayStation has a lot of hardwares and a lot of contents.
The fuck at those answers? lol
semi-nvm. calendar malfunction
Well Sony finally admitted they fucked up by waiting so long before telling their customers in the conference. Just a little late.
Haha, this is brilliant.Q: Why was there a vulnerability?
A: We could've done better. Next question.
^ Lol'd.
I had to warn my husband about the whole thing. Nothing on our credit cards yet. Not like there was much on there to begin with.. (lol pfc)
I like this company even more after this PC.
I always had to add funds when I bought something, it would never charge me directly for the purchase. And I got an email every time.
At first I could link a CC to my PSN account, but after a while they disabled that feature, and I had to add funds to my account.
Next up, EverQuest servers !

Sony: More Secure PSN Back Up This Week, Users Getting Welcome Back Gifts
By Mike Sharkey | May 2, 2011
Company details enhanced security measures, phased rollout restoration.
PlayStation Network will be back and more secure than ever "this week," Sony promises, and as a thank you to PlayStation 3 gamers for their loyalty, the Japanese company is rolling out a Welcome Back program that includes a free content download and a 30 day membership to PlayStation Plus.
At a press conference in Tokyo over the weekend, Sony executives issued a formal apology to PSN users and detailed how it plans to get the service back up and running with new security measures.
"This criminal act against our network had a significant impact not only on our consumers, but our entire industry," PlayStation boss Kaz Hirai said. "These illegal attacks obviously highlight the widespread problem with cyber-security. We take the security of our consumers' information very seriously and are committed to helping our consumers protect their personal data. In addition, the organization has worked around the clock to bring these services back online, and are doing so only after we had verified increased levels of security across our networks."
"We have learned lessons along the way about the valued relationship with our consumers, and to that end, we will be launching a customer appreciation program for registered consumers as a way of expressing our gratitude for their loyalty during this network downtime, as we work even harder to restore and regain their trust in us and our services."
A phased rollout of PSN services will begin sometime this week (no specific date was announced), with the restoration of online game-play, Qriocity music, account management, access to un-expired movie rentals, PlayStation Home, friends list, and chat.
Sony says users can return to PSN with confidence, knowing the company has implemented new security measures, including automated software monitoring and configuration management, enhanced levels of encryption, better network intrusion detection, and additional firewalls.
In addition, Sony revealed it is moving all of its PSN user info to a new data center, and will launch a mandatory software update that requires all registered accounts to change their passwords before being able to log-in.
And in thanking PSN users for their patience and loyalty, Sony announced its Welcome Back program, which will be tailored to specific markets, but include the following central components:
-- Each territory will be offering selected PlayStation entertainment content for free download. Specific details of this content will be announced in each region soon.
-- All existing PlayStation Network customers will be provided with 30 days free membership in the PlayStation Plus premium service. Current members of PlayStation Plus will receive 30 days free service.
-- Music Unlimited powered by Qriocity subscribers (in countries where the service is available) will receive 30 days free service.
We'll provide further details on the phased rollout and welcome back program as soon as we hear from Sony.

people keep reposting the same news from different articles :/
or maybe they're in the other thread. idk. Why do we have 2 different threads for this in different sections!
fucking awesomeAll existing PlayStation Network customers will be provided with 30 days free membership in the PlayStation Plus premium service. Current members of PlayStation Plus will receive 30 days free service.
What were the perks of PSN+ again?
Auto update when the PS3 is turned off, cheaper PSN games, a free title every month, earlier access to some betas, and some dynamic themes is all I can remember. Nothing that really matters.
Back up in Japan.
