I don't feel a lot of stress anywhere but work, really. Keeping instruments working so the company can continue to produce revenue can keep you pinned down under 'high priority' work constantly...other than that not much bothers me.
I attribute my lack of stress to one of my favorite old sayings that my HS football coach used a lot:
"Take care of the little things, and the big things will take care of themselves."
For example:
Attention to detail at work keeps me from producing lazy/incomplete/inconsistent/discrepant results, which keeps me employed.
Staying employed means that I have a constant income to pay for my bills.
Paying the bills means collectors aren't calling, and my credit record stays in a good place.
Good credit means I can get loans for things I want (like my new car), or use credit cards to make big purchases (like the new TV we got last winter)
To me, all of that comes from taking care of the smallest details at work. Which is fantastic for me, since I'm a detail oriented person anyway.
Im stressed pretty much all the time. If im not doing something positive with my day then i get wound up. However, relating to work i seem to have a lot more lenience to let things slide. I pile up to do lists pretty much every day to alow me to sleep.
I don't really feel stressed unless I'm running behind at work so, mabye 3-7 days a week. As a groomer if I get behind it can really fuck shit up. have owners calling asking why their pet isn't done, gotta explain blahblah. Mix in phones ringing off the hook, a shitty dog screeching it's brains out. Dumbass coworkers being retarded -> RAGE.
other than that I'm fine. When I was growing up I saw my dad be overstressed with work and I swore I would never turn out like that so I try and not push my limits with work or buy shit I don't really need.
oh, I also try and watch as many comedies as I can to help keep me destressed. Or watch really sappy woman movies to make myself teary eyed. Think crying and laughing are one of the greatest stress reliefs ever
Pretty much every minute of everyday. Everything I do involves people and I work at a psychiatric hospital. Running a gaming community, grad school, and work makes for a stressful day, particularly when you spend most of your time doing therapy with patients.
Last year I was stressed out because I had a lot of deadlines to catch, as a graphic design student. I planned them all perfectly, and worked everything according to schedule, and aced everything, but I was still stressed out. Which is good, cause it made me productive. I could literally feel the stress flowing out of me when the final page was printed and put in the book.
Now I have a much more relaxed schedule, and I'm not stressed anymore. For me, it's all work-related. I used to get stressed out from little things, but those don't bother me anymore. Just not worth it.
I suppose I should elaborate. I rage hard at video games. Like, ridiculously so. I scream bloody murder at Halo. Shit pisses me off to no end. This applies to pretty much any game, even Minecraft if I fall into lava too many times in one day, or if someone touches my stuff. But, beyond raging in the moment like that, I really don't stress out. I find it extremely difficult to hold grudges. I get mad, and then once the trigger is gone I'm fine.
One exception is when my Crohn's disease is acting up. Every now and then I'll have a really really bad day, so I'll be physically exhausted/in pain (which is pretty standard) plus mentally ornery. I begin to uncontrollably rage at everything. The light switch isn't the way I left it. RAAAAAAAAAAAGE. Bumped the table. RAAAAAAAAGE. Only commercials on TV. RAAAAAAAGE. Then I realize what's happening, and calm down a bit. I'm still cranky, but I stop raging at every tiny thing. Then I go to sleep, and wake up fine. But I'm not sure if that qualifies as stress. I've always thought of stress as more worrying, or long-term anger. Which is definitely not me.
I've got 14 hr school days, four bands, and younger siblings to watch. I have the same professor for 4 of my classes and he's very critical. I stress way too fucking much... I can feel the years of my life escaping me every time I gamble with submission dates.
Back in HS before a soccer match I'd start stressing out and get all anxious and have to shit really bad. And it wasn't pleasant either, really liquidy.
