I also feel like developers wanted to "push" the hardware with Hedgehog Engine. So instead of using an engine that would feel "dated" they decided to make it more over-the-top. Hurts on a lot of levels, until you learn that you shouldnt boost 100% of the time (until you start working on ranks.)

As far as that level list goes, I think Sky Sanctuary would blow everything else out of the water. (And that says a lot as I love SA2)

EDIT: Also that zone list, why all the beginning levels? Sky Sanctuary was a breather level if anything. Not played the PS2 and above Sonics so not sure what those levels are. Where's my endgame levels, i.e. SCRAP BRAINNNNN

This was from Sonic Adventure 2 right? I can't remember much about that game other than how much I hated Knuckles/Rouge and Robotnik/Tails missions.

If they add Chemical Plant Zone's music I'm sold even if it turns out to be a crappy title.

Downloaded the demo over the weekend and went into a nostalgic coma. Green Hills looked amazing and I instantly felt like I was transported back into my childhood. Can't wait to see more of the game.

I opened a can of coke, thinking it would be a 2-act deal. Was very disappoint to find that it was an only 1 act demo lol, wasted coke

Anyways:

• Looks Gorgeous. Very immersed. I enjoyed the background graphics
• FAST

• Weird controls. Accelerating is too slow
• I know it's only demo, but I found it weird Sonic came with no voices

In other sonic related news, I did all my SA1 emblems on the HD download today. All that is left is Big the Cat...in which I spent what felt like 15minutes fishing for a 2000g fish, which I NEVER GOT.

I also got sonic 2 on PSN (free) just before trying the demo. It might be my TV, but the game seems kind of blurry going at top speed. Also, I don't remember if it was this way originally, but you basically have to memorize the levels to try and get to alternate routs and even to jump in advance to hit an enemy that isn't on your screen yet.

Overall the series doesn't seem as fun as I remember and that sucks; ;

Got around to playing the demo. Environmental physics engine needs work, those wobbly bridges are stupidly random in the demo. Hopefully they fix that by release because those things killing my momentum for no reason ruined just as many runs as my own mistakes did.

Aside from that the game seems solid, certainly no worse than the originals. Hopefully modern sonic holds up just as well.

Metal Sonic Returns As A Sonic Generations Rival

Sega sent Famitsu a few details about Sonic Generations. The magazine confirmed Metal Sonic from Sonic CD is in the upcoming game as a rival for Modern and Classic Sonic. Metal Sonic is said to have a classic style. I suppose that means Metal Sonic’s model is based on his Sonic CD sprite.



Sonic Generations has Chemical Plant Zone from Sonic the Hedgehog 2 in the game. Like all stages, there will be classic style and modern style versions of this level.



On Nintendo 3DS, Sonic Generations has an original special stage where Sonic runs into a tube in stereoscopic 3D.



Sonic Generations will be available for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and Nintendo 3DS with different content later this year.

Omfg please bring back stardust speedway with all the music that was included with it. Easily my favorite set of stages in sonic cd.
