Crit damage cap increase was intentional, unless they intended to lower it.

Assuming SE doesn´t ninja fix crit dmg cap back to 50% RR/SS/Apoc looks to be the best combo as of right now (assuming you don´t need VV regain ticks for your 5hit I guess). Bellicus Cuisses can get Crit Hit Rate+3% and WS DMG+3% making them the best choice for Ukko's Fury as of now.

I figured SS was a bit of a waste with af3 feet and blood rage. For haidate I have seen up to +4% crit rate, so would that win out over bellicus now? And would I want to use bellicus both inside and outside abyssea?

I´m not 100% sure what to use outside of abyssea myself. I can see a good augmented B.Haidate be top notch though.

That is my current set, I set my dex goal for 120. But if I can get those new haidaite, then I'd be able to swap vigilance/af3 hands for heafoc and aetheling. I'd lose 2% DA and 2 str but would gain atk and crit rate in the process. So I think for sure I'd use haidate outside of abyssea.

To quell some of your concerns about the adjustments set to take place regarding VIT and critical hits, you'll be glad to know that this adjustment will only be for player characters and NOT monsters.

Does this just mean when a player gets hit by a mobs crit the amount of VIT the player has will decrease total damage taken?

It only applies to players hitting mobs.

Does anyone have recommended settings for nVidia cards for the game? I'm currently using a GTX 460 card. What 3D settings should I be using to get best quality? (Performance won't be an issue..quad core 3.2ghz 4gb ram, etc..)

As for registry I have currently set 1920x1080 res with 1920x1080 bg res..mip mapping on bump mapping off (for the windower lighting..should i just enable this and not use windower lighting?) everything else set to "Smooth"

How is your time investment in the game atm? I found it was the best when I had a mage75 first, then use that to PL the melee one in traditional pickups, before abyssea ever existed. After my melee char got swept up in the salvage bans, it was pretty easy to get back into the swing again. I'm not so sure about vice versa though, but with abyssea now I suppose the melee one can simply knock out dominion pages for the lower level mage char if you can do that.

Leveling both at once would sound annoying to me, since both are at risk of dying if you level on your own, or the multitasking of it might wear you out if you seek for some traditional exp party (if those still exist outside of abyssea).

Level both if you can handle it since it would save time down the road, but with 1 90 char, you can simply make a leech party around your lower level char(or one made by your ls members).

My time investment looks like this:
Work M-F 8:00AM to 4:30PM. Home by 5:00PM.
Minecraft (2-3 servers?) + FFXI til bed. I usually do a split if I can't find a party, or only FFXI if I do find a party. Or Just minecraft if I don't feel like doing stuff in ffxi (see: fame farming)

So from 5:00PM til 1AM~ daily. More on weekends if I'm not seeing my girlfriend. 8 hours a day that gets sometimes split between another game.

My main concern with waiting was the fact that I'd have to go through and get all of the fame/quests/key items/missions(big one here) a second time through as opposed to doing them once time with two chars. I guess the main question is..ease of leveling at the cost of time invested in a second run through all fame/quests/key items/missions..or..slower leveling at the gain of not having to repeat everything a second time?

I just started working on my BST, it's 72, What Ra/ex pieces should i be looking for (empy armor of course) but what about original artifact or relic, i havea few pieces in storage like hands and body i think, but i'm not sure what sort of harder pieces i should be looking into getting.

Relic feet, hands, and body are all very much worth having, especially the feet. Until you get relic feet you'll want to use AF feet in your reward set, and you'll also want the body (swapping between relic and AF bodies to cure whatever status is needed on your pet). As for other r/ex's, I think it's a case of how hardcore you want to be about the job, and whether camping NMs for low drop rate items is worth your time, what your current MKDE hat has on, and so on.

So I'm trying to reset my PW through SE's email system and I got an email back saying they were unable to do it because I did not provide my registration date. Is there any place I can find that? I still have access to the account since the pw is saved to auto-login, I just can't remember what it is.

Ironically not without your password. That said..I'm pretty sure if you can verify your current CC info and address they'll assist with getting it reset. I have good luck with Chat agents with this. I'd either call them or talk to Chat.
