about cirein-croin. Mostly i'm worried about the charm. Sure I can solo him on rdm easily, but I want to use my thf + whm mule if I can to maximize lantern drops. How often does he use his charm, how fast is it (thinking about using on-event with whm/blm mule to stun it if its possible). Thanks.

Cirein-croin uses WS's in sets of two. I've only seen charm be the 2nd WS.

If you stun a WS, it will just ready another WS after it, until it gets the 2 WS's off. When you stun charm, it seems like about... maybe 50~75% of the time, it just uses charm again, but not always.

Charm lasts about 30 seconds, and is harmless. All it does is make the battle take longer.

Doing this guy on NIN w/ Kannagi, it usually gets 5-7 sets of WS's off, from my experience it prefers to seismic tail more than anything, but might just be luck. Dead in 4-5min easy, 6-7+ if it's being a bitch with charm. I think I've had it charm me like, once in every 3-5 fights maybe. One of those it's usually a bitch and does it like 2-3 times. I've also only really experienced charm when the thing was like <25% health, but may be coincidence.

Thank you, it was actually my mistake. The duration was in both status.xml and resource.xml. I changed the one under status.xml but didn't see the one in resource. After changing the resource.xml it works.

does glavoid have a high magic resist or darkness resist?

war/rdm +40 MAB in trait and gear cosmos/smiting/griffin claw w/ cataclysm brewed = ....11k?? at 100tp(200) it did 11k, and 200tp(300) it did 14k. dosent this setup do upwards of 30k to dragua?

Sandworms resist all magic dmg except for wind. MNK/BLM with cosmos/smiting/griffon was doing less than 1k on the Vermes Carnium. Use Aeolian Edge.

Thankfully, no level requirement changes were made to Abyssea.

If you're going to melee outside Dynamis with DNC and BST, STR or DEX are the only real way to go in my opinion.

I believe the notes in today's follow-up thread are not yet scheduled for release. SE mentioned something recently about their change in philosophy regarding updates (I believe they announced this along with the 2011 Roadmap) . In all likelihood, SE will not wait until the next major update to adjust everything they mentioned. Instead, they'll release the adjustments in a series of mini-updates when they're ready to go live.

All you have to do is kite it after first ws a little. It will say "there are no targets within area of effect". If he does sleep first, make sure your whm stuns and cures you so you can kite the 2nd ws. I know most people just blitz through charm but there are a lot of scrubs who will most definitely kill you, at least on my server. That leaves charm as the deadliest move... they will kill you and make you take a lot longer.

I Just recently triboxxed 2 of these thf + whm, blm/brd for grellow.

before 50% health I would stand max distance after getting a few melee cycles and usually 1 WS, I would face away and then only turn to do 1 more melee cycle and turn again. Doing this I was already prepared to outrun his 2 TP moves, If he started with hypnic lamp I would usually be too far and I wouldnt get slept, being turned away and running from 2nd TP move is important because (especially dualboxxing) he will only ever use Mayhem Lantern (charm) and Deathgnash as the 2nd TP move, by nature the Charm means he's going after your WHM, the Deathgnash is like Throatstab and hate will reset on THF only. He will chase you until 2nd tp move goes off, so let him get just close enough then run again he'll ready whatever it is and it will most likely fail to land on you. At and below 25% I'd alternate turning from melee swings and getting WS off so I'd be more aware to start running once the TP moves start to go off. This method proved to be very safe under a triboxxing conditon.

Edit: he can use anything I believe as a 2nd TP move, but I've never seen him open with Mayhem Lantern or Deathgnash, it will only happen on 2nd set of TP move only. I hope I worded that properly.
